About me and my therapy practice

I am a humanistic and integrative counsellor and Psychotherapist (BSc Hons, MÍø±¬ÃÅ) working in person from the Sherwood/ Mapperley Park area of Nottingham. 

I work with young people and adults, offering a safe and non judgemental space where you can pause, breathe, and feel supported—especially if life feels heavy, confusing, or like something needs to shift. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. Therapy with me is a place to begin untangling what’s going on, at your own pace.

My style is integrative, which means I don’t stick to just one way of working. Instead, I draw from different approaches depending on what you need. Sometimes that means talking things through to understand patterns and emotions. Other times, we might pay attention to how stress shows up in your body, or use creative tools like metaphor or imagery to explore deeper layers of your experience.

I work relationally, which means I see our therapeutic relationship as part of the healing process. I’ll show up with warmth, honesty, and respect—and I’ll invite you to do the same. Together, we’ll build a space where you can feel safe enough to explore what’s painful, what’s hopeful, and what’s possible.

Clients often come to me during times of transition, emotional exhaustion, or when something just doesn’t feel right anymore. You might be navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, identity questions, or relationship challenges. You might feel stuck, restless, or unsure of who you are now. Whatever brings you here, I’ll meet you with curiosity and care.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about supporting you to reconnect with your own clarity, strength, and sense of direction.


Practice description

I offer face to face and online sessions on a long or short term basis, and hybrid sessions from accessible, comfortable, quiet, safe, clean and professionally furnished premises. 

What Sessions Are Like

• Pace and safety come first. We’ll move at a rhythm that feels manageable for your nervous system.

• You set the tone. Some days you may want to talk through something specific; other days we may follow a thread that emerges in the moment.

• We’ll work relationally. The therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful site of healing. I welcome your feedback and questions.

• We honour complexity. You don’t need to have it all figured out. We’ll hold space for contradictions, ambivalence, and the parts of you still becoming.

A Note on Culture and Context

I hold deep respect for the ways culture, history, and systems shape our inner lives. If you carry intergenerational trauma, navigate multiple identities, or feel like you’re living between worlds, you’re not alone here. We can make space for that complexity together.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute informal assessment via Zoom or phone. During this time we will be able to discuss your needs and answer any questions you may have. 

Sessions are £50 for an hour (weekdays).

I may ask you some questions to help me gain a deeper sense of you and the issues which have brought you into counselling. We can then decide together if I am the right person to help you move forward.
