I currently have limited space in my private practice on Tuesdays and Fridays.

About me and my therapy practice

I follow a Humanistic and Integrative model of therapy, which reflects my philosophy about life. I don’t think people are born bad, or choose to have issues, I believe that our experiences and relationships shape us into who we are. However, I believe that with the right encouragement, nourishment, and love, we can experience growth. Therefore, I seek to offer a warm, nurturing relationship that will facilitate change. I draw on a variety of theoretical frameworks to help this happen, but the common factor is offering you empathy, acceptance and human connection.

I specialise in working with people who have experienced trauma in childhood, and who may now have a diagnosis of a personality disorder. These labels can feel overwhelming, but I always see the human being first, and seek to offer you a space without judgement or stigma.

I value working with difference and diversity, and I understand that the world outside the therapy room door shapes our experiences. I work with an intersectional awareness of gender, race, sexuality and other identity markers to enhance my ability to more fully understand what your experience of walking through the world might be, as well as learn more about my own. I have a special interest in working with LGBTQIAA+ people, as I know from my own experience that living life as one’s authentic self, in an identity that encapsulates who you are, is vital to health and happiness.

In addition to my private practice, I have previously worked as a therapist at the Nottingham Women’s Centre, where I specialised in working with women and non-binary people who have survived trauma and face multiple disadvantages.

I am currently only able to see supervisees on Thursdays, face-to-face or on Zoom.

About me and my therapy practice

Good supervision can be really hard to find. As practitioners, we work so hard and give so much, and supervision is key to supporting us in our client work, our personal growth and in our professional development. I know from many years of experience as a therapist, that we all need somewhere to safely talk about our client work, without judgement, work out what's happening with our clients, and find new ways through impasses.

As a supervisor, I work relationally to help create a safe place for you to be supported in your work, and to gently challenge you to be a more reflective practitioner. I draw on the Seven Eyed model of supervision to ensure that we attend to all areas of practice to best support you.

In addition to my work as a supervisor, I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, who has worked organisationally as a Trauma and Severe and Multiple Disadvantages specialist therapist. I am now in private practice, where I primarily specialise in working with gender, sexual and relationship diversity and Borderline process, though I see a diverse range of clients.

Practice description

My core modality is Humanistic and Integrative, but I am happy to work with supervisees who practice across any Humanistic modalities. However, if you come from a different modality and would like to discuss working together, I am happy to explore how we might make this work together.

As I am currently training as a supervisor, I can work with qualified practitioners, or those on a Level 3, Level 4 or Level 5 training.

My first session

I am happy for us to have a 20 minute call to explore if we are a good fit to work together, where I am happy to answer any questions you might have around how we can best meet your needs.
