Availability
I primarily see clients Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with limited availability for evening and weekend appointments. My schedule occasionally shifts based on client needs, and I do my best to offer flexibility when possible.
If I鈥檓 currently full, I maintain a short waitlist and reach out as soon as openings become available. I believe therapy works best when sessions are consistent and predictable, so I aim to find times that fit naturally within your week.
Any planned time away or changes to my schedule are always communicated in advance, and I make sure clients have appropriate support and resources during those periods.
If you鈥檙e interested in starting therapy or would like to know more about current availability, please don鈥檛 hesitate to reach out鈥擨鈥檇 be happy to connect and discuss scheduling options.
About me and my therapy practice
In my practice, I create a space that is approachable, supportive, and human鈥攕o you can bring your real self, your true questions, and the full complexity of your life. My background as both a psychotherapist and a nutritionist gives me a unique lens: we don鈥檛 just talk about thoughts and feelings, we also explore how your body, your eating patterns, your lifestyle and your relationship with food and self are all part of the picture.
A Whole-Person Approach
I believe wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit鈥攖he recognition that everything we do, think, feel and believe affects our state of well-being. (As one author put it: 鈥淲ellness is the complete integration of body, mind and spirit鈥︹.) So when we meet, we do more than just 鈥渢alk.鈥 We may look at how your physical health and your emotional health are intertwined: how your sleep, your movement, your nutrition, and your inner world all impact each other.
This means:
We鈥檒l explore how you relate to food, your body, and yourself鈥攏ot just 鈥渨hat you eat,鈥 but what eating means to you, how you use it (or it uses you) for comfort, control, culture, coping, or conflict.
We鈥檒l pay attention to how your body holds the story of your life鈥攖rauma, transition, stress show up physically as well as emotionally.
We鈥檒l work on thoughts and feelings (what you tell yourself, how you feel in your body) and behavioural changes (how you move, how you eat, how you live day-to-day).
Collaborative and Transparent
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable, safe, and free to be open. That means I strive to be transparent in how I work鈥攚hat the process is, what to expect, what we鈥檙e doing together. I aim to build a genuine collaboration: you don鈥檛 just show up and I 鈥渇ix鈥 you. Instead we explore together, taking your strengths, your pace, your goals as central.
Practice description
Tailored to Where You Are Right Now
Everyone brings a different story: maybe you鈥檙e recovering from trauma, maybe you鈥檙e navigating an eating disorder or complicated relationship with food, maybe you鈥檙e going through a major life transition or dealing with chronic stress. We鈥檒l meet you where you are鈥攁nd build from there.
What You Can Expect
A genuine partnership: we鈥檒l check in together about how things are going, what鈥檚 working, what鈥檚 not.
Practical tools: you鈥檒l leave with more than insight鈥攜ou鈥檒l leave with things you can try, reflect on, and revise.
Flexibility: real life is messy. We鈥檒l adapt our work to your current phase鈥攚hether you鈥檙e in crisis, in gain, in healing, or in transition.
Compassion and clarity: you won鈥檛 be judged for where you are; you will be met with curiosity, respect, and actionable help.
Who This Is For
You might come to therapy with me if you鈥檙e:
Struggling with body-image issues, eating patterns, or a complex relationship with food and your body.
Coping with trauma, transitions, uncertainty, or long-standing patterns of self-criticism and perfectionism.
Ready to work on your inner life and how that shows up in your body, your habits, your relationships.
Wanting a therapist who honours your autonomy and helps you build a foundation of self-trust and self-care.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building the foundation for a supportive and collaborative relationship. I aim to create a calm and comfortable space where you can share what brings you to therapy at your own pace.
Before our first meeting, you鈥檒l complete a brief intake form to help me learn a little about your background, goals, and what you鈥檇 like to focus on. This allows us to make the most of our time together and begin identifying areas for support.
During the session, we鈥檒l talk about what鈥檚 been feeling difficult or important lately and what you hope to gain from therapy. You鈥檙e welcome to share as much or as little as feels right 鈥 there鈥檚 no pressure to cover everything at once. I鈥檒l also share a bit about how I work, answer any questions about the process, and help you get a sense of what ongoing sessions might look like.
By the end of our first meeting, we鈥檒l discuss whether the approach feels like a good fit and, if so, outline next steps together. My goal is that you leave feeling heard, understood, and hopeful about the path ahead.
The first session is billed at the same rate as ongoing sessions. If you have questions about scheduling or fees, I鈥檓 happy to go over those details before we meet.
