About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, compassionate space where you can talk openly, feel truly heard, and begin to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not yourself, you're welcome exactly as you are.
My approach is grounded in person-centred values, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. Over time, my work has naturally evolved to draw from a broader range of therapeutic perspectives, shaped by the people I’ve supported and the depth of the issues we’ve explored together. This allows me to work in a way that’s flexible and responsive to your individual needs.
I believe that meaningful change happens through connection, trust, and acceptance. Together, we can gently explore the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that may be shaping how you relate to yourself and others. Many people I work with describe a sense of being stuck - caught in emotional or relational cycles that feel hard to shift. Counselling can help bring clarity to these patterns and open the door to new ways of being.
Reaching out can take a lot, especially if you’ve been holding things quietly for some time. You don’t need to have the words or answers - we’ll begin gently, in a way that feels safe for you.
Sessions take place in a secure, private building near Norwich Airport, with free on-site parking. I also offer online appointments for those who prefer to meet remotely. You're welcome to book a free 15 minute phone or video consultation to see if we feel like a good fit.
Practice description
I provide a calm, confidential space where you can begin to explore what’s felt difficult or unsettling - whether that’s trauma, anxiety, depression, loss, low self-esteem, anger, loneliness, or relationship challenges. You may be facing something specific, or simply feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. Wherever you are, we can begin there.
While my core training is in person-centred counselling, I work in a collaborative, adaptive way shaped by each client’s unique experience. I bring empathy, acceptance, curiosity - and a genuine, authentic presence - to our work, with the hope of creating a relationship that feels both safe and meaningful.
I began my counselling career supporting adult survivors of rape and childhood sexual abuse, which deepened my sensitivity to trauma and the importance of trust. Alongside my private practice, I also work through an established therapy organisation, where my approach has become more psychotherapeutic in nature. This continues to enrich the depth and insight I bring to the support I offer.
For many clients, therapy involves gently making sense of repeating emotional or relational patterns, and understanding how these may relate to earlier experiences. Together, we can explore these in a way that feels manageable and respectful of your pace.
My first session
Our first session offers a gentle starting point - a space to talk about what’s brought you to counselling, or anything that feels important right now. There’s no pressure to explain everything all at once; we’ll go at your pace.
It’s also a chance to get a feel for working together, ask any questions, and explore what kind of support might suit you best, whether short or longer term. Together, we’ll find an approach that feels right for you.
