About me and my therapy practice

When you're struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, or past trauma, the effects can ripple outwards, damaging your relationships and self-esteem. This internal struggle often shows up physically, too, through uncomfortable bodily sensations. If you find your mind rushing due to stress, anxiety, or difficult life transitions, I want you to know you don't have to navigate this journey alone.

My name is Alexandra. As an Integrative Counsellor for adults, I have a special interest in supporting clients with anxiety, though I also work with those experiencing burnout, depression, relationship difficulties, workplace problems, and trauma.

My therapeutic approach is integrative. Using a tailored approach that draws from a range of evidence-based therapies, I’ll help you gain insight into your thoughts and feelings. Together, we'll explore the patterns that are holding you back, helping you develop practical coping strategies and a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. My goal is to empower you with the confidence and resilience you need to face life’s challenges, including practising self-care. I also work in a holistic way, recognising that you are a whole person. We'll consider the connections between your mind, body, and relationships to achieve comprehensive well-being.

My therapeutic work is built on a strong academic and professional foundation. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Health Psychology, which, alongside my counselling training, gives me a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour, mental well-being, and the stress-body connection.

If you're ready to take the next step, please email me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. This is a pressure-free opportunity for us to connect and see if we're a good fit.

Practice description

I bring a wealth of practical experience, gained through years of working in adult health and social care, including time spent with a local drug and alcohol agency. Starting my counselling journey, I trained and worked with Redlands Counselling & Training. I now work in private practice (offering online and face-to-face sessions) and for several Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs).

I am also trained to work online and via telephone. My current CPD focus is on anxiety and trauma. I am currently undertaking further study in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and will be integrating this approach into my client work from December onwards.

I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am passionate about supporting my clients on their journey towards greater well-being.
