About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I’m Kim, a relational psychotherapist with over five years’ experience working with adults and young people, both online and in person.

People often come to me when life feels heavy or uncertain when anxiety, low self-esteem, loss or relationship difficulties are getting in the way of how they want to live. You might be going through a period of change such as illness, bereavement, a separation, or simply feeling stuck and unsure where to turn next.

My experience spans several settings: a cancer charity supporting individuals and families through diagnosis, treatment and bereavement; a community organisation working with trauma, identity and cultural issues; and a young people’s counselling service helping teenagers and young adults navigate life’s transitions, relationships and self-worth.

In my private practice I continue to work with clients facing anxiety, depression, relationships issues, work-related stress, trauma, life transitions and loss. I also enjoy working with neurodivergent clients, offering a space where difference is understood and valued.

I believe therapy is most helpful when it feels real and collaborative. Building trust and safety comes first from there, we find a way of working that feels right for you. Some people prefer a practical, solution-focused approach; others need time to explore deeper experiences and emotions. I draw on a range of relational and evidence-based therapies, adapting our work to your individual needs.

I am affiliated with Bupa and Axa.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists working with adults and adolescents. Sessions are available in person at my practice in central Richmond, Surrey (easily accessible by public transport, with parking nearby), or online via Zoom. I work with both trainee and qualified therapists across a range of modalities.

Supervision can be fortnightly or monthly, depending on your needs and professional requirements. We will agree on a working contract together, covering practical arrangements as well as your hopes for supervision. I encourage open, ongoing dialogue around what you need from the space, and each session includes time to check in on how you are arriving and what you would like to focus on.

My practice is inclusive and welcoming, with a commitment to ethical, reflective, and anti-oppressive ways of working.

Practice description

I am a qualified supervisor (Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision) offering a supportive, relational space for therapists to grow, reflect, and feel resourced in their work. I draw on the Integrated Developmental Model and Seven-Eyed Model, with a strong focus on cultural humility, anti-oppressive practice, and ethical care.

Supervision with me is a collaborative space where your wellbeing, creativity, and confidence are just as important as your clinical work. Together, we will explore the challenges and rewards of practice in a way that is grounded, curious, and empowering.

My first session

Our first meeting is a chance to see how we connect in terms of personality, approach, and what you are looking for in supervision. We will explore what support you need, how you like to work, and take some time to talk through your current caseload.
