About me and my therapy practice

I am an experienced psychotherapist/counsellor, offering a warm,  supportive, collaborative and respectful approach.  I value the human connection in the therapist/client relationship and believe it is fundamental in therapy work. I am interested in what is getting in the way of you living the life you hope for. Things happen to us, yet it is how we relate to them that shapes our current experience and future.  I believe that exploring issues with a therapist can lead us to gain insights about what is happening for us, and patterns of behaviour that may be impacting our relationships and experiences. Working together to gain awareness and understanding enables choice and perspective, and can help us feel stronger and gain more self-esteem. Alongside this, I will support you in choosing your way forward.

We will sit in a comfortable private consulting room and we will talk. I work with adults, weekly, in 50-minute sessions, both short- and long-term, which is decided and reviewed together. Sessions are in person at East Molesey, or Esher, or online.

I offer a free 15-minute call prior to booking during which I can answer any questions you may have to help decide if what I offer is what you need.

Practice description

I am an experienced Integrative-Relational Psychotherapist/Counsellor, with a first-class BA Honours degree in Integrative-Relational Counselling, and my experience includes working in the NHS and Private Practice.

My approached combines elements of humanistic, psychodynamic, attachment, cognitive behavioural and existential approaches along with others. The integrative-relational approach enables me to draw on these different approaches in a seamless way, using the client/therapist relationship as an important base for the work.  I work with you as a whole person - supporting your problems or symptoms and exploring how your past experiences, present circumstances and future hopes all interconnect.  From there, I will support you in gaining personal understanding and insight so you can reconnect with your inner resources and make empowered choices.

I have experience in working in the following areas: anxiety, depression, stress, loss, grief and bereavement, break-up, redundancy and life-limiting illness, abuse, health issues, family issues, trauma, anger issues and management, life crises, work stress and burn-out, identity, changing roles in life (such as transition to parenthood and retirement), navigating change, OCD, low self-esteem, loss of confidence, existential issues (such as life purpose, loneliness, aging) and relationship difficulties. This is not an exclusive list, please do get in touch if there is something not mentioned here that you would like help with.

I regularly undertake Continued Professional Development (CPD’s) and training, as part of my commitment to keep my skills and knowledge relevant and current, and to further enrich my development and work. As a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, I am guided by their ethical principles, values and good practice standards.

My therapy rooms are at The Practice in East Molesey.  Please note, my room is located on the second floor and there is no lift in this building.

I also offer online sessions via zoom.
