About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified and registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist, in practice since 2014, working in short and long term therapy with adults and young people.
In addition to private practice, I work part-time as a counsellor for a sexual violence organisation (since 2020) and with young people leaving the care system (since 2015)
My aim is to provide a safe, confidential, professional, non-judgemental space for you to explore ways to self-support, bring awareness, compassion and understanding to the areas of life that have become challenging, overwhelming or traumatic.
Counselling offers a container where movement and change can occur, where it's possible to find freedom and clarification around the things that weigh us down. I will work with you to identify the strategies and patterns that may restrict you living a fuller life, discover how they were formed, for what reasons and will support you to find ways to evolve and progress where change is possible.
We focus on your objectives and move at your pace, identifying what you'd like to work on as it arises. I use a trauma informed approach in all of my work and help with mapping out what led you here and where you want to take your next steps.
I have always and continue to work both privately and within third sector organisations including working with vulnerable communities, choosing a path that is accessible for those that can't access private therapy. I have extensive experience working with complexities in marginalised communities and look for ways to strengthen and empower the self on the road to healing.
Offering private therapy enables me to continue in this way, thank you.
