About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Kirsty.

Life can feel complicated, painful or confusing at times. This could be because of something recent, something you’ve carried for a long time or feelings that are hard to put into words.

Counselling offers a supportive space to understand your emotions, helps you recognise how the past has shaped you, and gives you tools to work towards an authentic and meaningful life.

Working at a pace that feels comfortable for you, I draw from a variety of approaches, offering therapy to suit your personal needs and values. Above all, my work is centred on compassion - not only in how I support you but also in my commitment to helping you increase self-acceptance and kindness toward yourself.

Some of the main areas I work with include:

  • Chronic illness and pain management
  • Confidence and self-esteem
  • Difficulties with food and body image
  • Relationship and family struggles
  • Questions about meaning, purpose, or identity

With over seven years’ experience, I’ve worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and beliefs. Alongside my private practice, I spent several years at Mind, one of the UK’s leading mental health charities, where I supported young people dealing with self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and other mental health difficulties.

Practice description

I offer one-to-one counselling for adults and young people aged 14+, either online or in person in Emsworth.

There’s no 'one size fits all' when it comes to therapy, so I draw from a range of approaches including:

  • Third-Wave Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Attachment-Based Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Mind-Body Integration
  • Creative Counselling methods

My practice provides a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore what matters to you, deepen self-awareness, and work towards meaningful change. Together we can shape a way of working that supports your strengths and meets you where you are.
