About me and my therapy practice
Support for Couples Navigating Conflict, Parenting & Neurodivergence
When you reach out to your partner for care but are met with anger, defensiveness, or silence, it can feel confusing and lonely. Whether you’re navigating the challenges of parenting, living with neurodivergence, or simply trying to get on the same page about daily life, differences in values and perspectives can feel overwhelming. Over time, this can leave one or both of you feeling resentful, disconnected, or alone.
Many couples struggle to talk about sensitive subjects. For some, this leads to arguments and hurtful words. For others, it shows up as avoidance, silence, or growing distance. For many, it’s both.
Sometimes, when intimacy fades, people turn to other sources for comfort such as an affair, being unfaithful, overworking, or numbing with alcohol, food, or screens. While these strategies may bring short-term relief, they often place even more strain on the relationship. And when every avenue feels blocked, it can be hard to know what to do next.
Couples counselling and relationship therapy can help you and your partner to:
• Understand the deeper issues driving conflict
• Develop a shared language for difficult conversations
• Navigate the challenges of parenting and family life
• Support neurodivergent differences in communication and connection
• Learn tools to manage disagreements without escalation
• Rebuild intimacy, compassion, and respect
Reaching out for help can bring up feelings of failure or anxiety, but asking for support when it’s needed is one of the greatest acts of love and self-compassion. You can take the first step today by arranging a session or a free call to discuss how counselling could support you.

My first session
Our first session is a chance to get to know each other better and begin to get and idea of how well use our time together.
We’ll cover the practical stuff like what to do if you’re running late or need to reschedule. I will answer any questions you might have about what to expect and how counselling works.
Some of our time might be talking about your life, this might include your past and family relationships. If you e had counselling before I might ask what was helpful or what wasn’t.
You’ll also have the time to share more about what has been happening and what you’d like to achieve or change by coming to counselling.
By the end of the session we’ll begin forming a plan for how I can support you and what that could look like.
