About me and my therapy practice
I offer face-to-face counselling to adults and young people 18+. I have a great deal of experience working with an array of issues such as anxiety and depression, bereavement, loss and family issues. I wholeheartedly aim to provide a space where there are no judgements. If you feel that you need someone to speak to who can respectfully listen, be confidential and ensure that you are kept safe then please do reach out.
Practice description
Regardless of what may be taking place in your life: you may be stuck with a current problem that is bothering you and you require some help to unravel it. Or, it could be wanting to face some difficulties from your past, I am here to listen, to help you make sense and unravel your feelings.
I am a humanistic integrative therapist. In other words, I have been trained to understand numerous theoretical concepts and work with a wide range of issues. So, what does this mean in practice? It means that I look to draw upon an array of tools that I believe work for you. There is no one size that fits all in therapy. And, as important as the theory is, in my opinion, the key to successful therapy is the relationship that takes place between us in the room.
I see clients in the daytime and also work in the evenings. I am also available to see clients online if that is more convenient. Please drop me a message and I shall be back in touch to arrange an initial call by way of introduction.
My first session
Prior to our first session, I offer a free introductory call by way of introduction. I think this is important for you to understand a little more about how I practice and to see if you feel that I could be the right therapist for you.
At our first meeting, I am very much guided by where you want to start. I encourage all my clients to think about how they feel sitting with me during that session: do you feel that you can say anything to me and it would be safe to do so and without judgement? This is such an important starting point.
