About me and my therapy practice
Are you seeking change? Do you feel sad, anxious, or depressed, and struggle with low self-esteem? Is life passing you by while others seem to have it all - partners, careers, supportive families? Are you insecure about your looks, work, or relationships? Does stress overwhelm you? Have you been told you're oversensitive or need to be tougher? Are guilt, shame, or shameful feelings holding you back? Are you coping with the loss of a loved one, a job, or children leaving home, do you with self-image? Or perhaps you are just not sure what is holding you back!
I am an experienced Counsellor and work with various therapy models which means I can use a variety of approaches to meet your individual needs designed to help you navigate through whatever is holding you back from leading a more fulfilling life and achieving your goals. My flexible approach provides you with a safe and non-judgemental environment in which we can work together in a way that is suited to you and your preferences.
Practice description
Sometimes, life places a seemingly insurmountable wall before us, a hurdle so vast it feels impossible to conquer. I know what it’s like to feel trapped, overwhelmed by anxious thoughts, caught in unhelpful patterns, or haunted by painful, traumatic memories. The weight of these struggles can leave you feeling alone, afraid to open up to those closest to you. But please know that you do not need to be alone in this profound fight. I am here to offer you a sanctuary, a safe, nurturing space where your voice is valued and your pain is understood. My private practice, Aspects for Wellbeing, is based in Whitstable, and I have recently extended my hours to include evening sessions. I want to make space for those who are juggling childcare or demanding work schedules, because your well-being matters just as much as anything else.
My first session
I recognise the courage involved in seeking help during challenging times, and I want to assure you that you are supported. To help you feel confident in choosing the right counsellor, I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone prior to beginning sessions. During our first 50-minute appointment, we will review the counselling agreement and complete an assessment, including some questions about your background and current concerns. Additionally, we will discuss your goals and aspirations for the future.
