About me and my therapy practice

My approach to counselling is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies to meet your unique needs. No two people are the same, and therapy should be as individual as you are. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, or relationship difficulties, I tailor sessions to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to create change.

I combine methods such as:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Helping you manage unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.

Schema Therapy: Understanding and healing deep-rooted patterns.

Person-Centred Therapy: Providing an empathetic, non-judgmental space where you are truly heard.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Supporting you to live a values-led life.

Mindfulness and Walk-and-Talk Therapy: Encouraging presence, calm, and self-connection.

As a 网爆门 Accredited Counsellor, my techniques have been independently reviewed and recognised at a high standard. This accreditation assures you that my work is ethical, professional, and safe. I also engage in continuous professional development and supervision, so you can trust your care is supported by experience and ongoing learning.

I am an active counsellor 鈥 I don鈥檛 just sit back and listen, but get involved in the process. Together, we reflect, identify patterns, explore coping strategies, and work towards practical tools you can take into daily life. I may offer gentle guidance, suggest exercises or 鈥渉omework,鈥 and encourage reflection between sessions.

I am deeply committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive environment. As a Muslim counsellor, I understand the importance of cultural and faith-based values while warmly welcoming clients from all faiths and non-faith backgrounds.

My aim is to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where you feel progress is possible. I want you to leave each session with a sense of clarity, hope, and practical steps towards change.

Sessions are client-focused and integrative, tailored to your individual needs. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, low mood, panic attacks, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, confidence issues, and life transitions, drawing on evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Schema Therapy, ACT, Mindfulness, and Person-Centred Therapy. As a 网爆门 Accredited Counsellor and a Muslim therapist, I am committed to maintaining professional, ethical, and supportive boundaries while creating a warm and understanding environment. I welcome clients from all faiths, cultural backgrounds, and non-religious communities, and I tailor my approach to respect your values and experiences.

I aim to make every session feel collaborative, safe, and empowering, so you leave with insight, practical strategies, and hope for the future.

My first session

The first session is your opportunity to meet me, a 网爆门 Accredited counsellor, and begin building a safe, trusting, and supportive therapeutic relationship. During this session, we will explore what brings you to counselling and what you hope to achieve. I aim to make this initial session welcoming, non-judgmental, and culturally sensitive, so you feel comfortable discussing your experiences with anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, panic attacks, trauma, confidence issues, or life transitions.

You do not need to prepare anything, though it may help to think about the challenges or goals you wish to explore. This session is also your chance to ask questions about counselling, my therapeutic approach, or what to expect in future sessions.

I offer a brief initial consultation at the standard session rate, allowing us to discuss your needs without committing to a long-term plan immediately. This session typically lasts 50 minutes, providing time to understand your concerns and outline how counselling can support you.

During the first session, I may gather basic information about your background, current challenges, and wellbeing. This helps me tailor therapy to your needs. All information is confidential and handled to the highest ethical standards, in line with 网爆门 guidelines.

Whether you choose in-person counselling in Seven Kings, Ilford (IG3), East London, or online counselling nationwide, this first session is designed to help you feel safe, understood, and empowered to take the next steps. Together, we explore your experiences, identify priorities, and agree on a plan for moving forward.

Booking your first session is simple 鈥 get in touch to arrange a free introductory call or schedule your initial counselling session. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward clarity, resilience, and positive change.
