About me and my therapy practice
When our lives aren’t going the way we think they should, it can be difficult to navigate change. Feelings, emotions and thoughts can become tangled and knotted because previous history/experiences create an imprint for current behaviours.
Often, it’s a case of allowing the time and space to be heard, to ‘empty’ your head and feel those feelings in a safe, confidential place – without fear of judgment or criticism. You might be feeling everything or nothing, or somewhere in between, so let’s see how we can work together to explore what feels meaningful and helpful for you at your own pace.
As a qualified and experienced counsellor, I offer hour-long sessions for individual adults in a calm and compassionate manner. I have a private, dedicated counselling room which has been described as welcoming and calm. Although my core approach is person-centred, I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic and creative methods to ensure our sessions are tailored to your individual needs.
I am proactive about ongoing learning and professional development, continually expanding my knowledge to deepen and enhance my practice. My aim is to provide a safe and inclusive space where you can explore life’s challenges — whether that’s anxiety, depression, loss, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, or a desire for greater self-understanding.
Practice description
I offer weekly, hour-long sessions, either face to face, online or telephone. Sessions can be booked singularly or in blocks and concessions are available.
My first session
Once you make contact, we can arrange an informal, pre-counselling chat to help us both decide if we can work together. This can take around 20-30 minutes and there is no charge for this.
