About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I鈥檓 Kes.

As both a therapist and someone who鈥檚 been a therapist myself, I know how vulnerable it can feel to open up. (I鈥檝e been told that talking to me is like talking to a tree, only one that talks back!)

I鈥檓 here to explore with you at your pace. There鈥檚 no rush. Only time to go deep, if you want to. You鈥檒l find me warm, practical, and here to cheer you on.

I see you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. Our work together isn鈥檛 about fixing you; it鈥檚 about supporting you in growing into more of yourself.

  • A life that fits you 鈥 Not one you鈥檝e been manipulated into living

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Kes :-)

I鈥檓 a therapist, and as someone who occasionally uses therapy myself, I understand that reaching out can feel like a big step. It takes courage to open up about your thoughts and feelings.

I hope to support you in feeling relaxed and confident as we work together on your concerns, whilst empowering you to take care of your psychological well-being and improve your peace of mind with self-compassion.

I鈥檓 also a real human being鈥攏ot just a therapist. While sessions are about you, I鈥檓 happy to share anything about myself that might help you feel more at ease. Just ask.

Practice description

I practise a holistic, "whole person" approach, meaning I welcome all aspects of who you are and anything you want to explore. My work is informed by person-centred and integrative modalities.

You may find working with me helpful if:

  • You feel different, unseen or unheard: I work with neurodivergent individuals (e.g., autism, ADHD鈥攚hether diagnosed or awaiting diagnosis) who are navigating academic pressures, work-related stress, or interpersonal challenges. I also have experience supporting LGBTQIA+ adults and young people, as well as migrants and refugees, including those facing minority stress, cultural adaptation, and identity-related concerns.
  • You're struggling to communicate authentically: If fears about others' reactions, people-pleasing tendencies, or unresolved past traumas are affecting your confidence, relationships, intimacy, or self-expression, we can work together to help you feel more like yourself and strengthen your communication and boundaries.
  • You're motivated to grow: Therapy provides a space for self-reflection and gradual change. I believe in the power of self-leadership, and the clients who experience the most benefits are committed to their growth both inside and outside of sessions.Together, we鈥檒l work to help you create a life that feels right for you, based on your values and on your terms

I offer flexible appointments on weekday mornings, afternoons and evenings. More information is available on my website.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Kes, and a wholehearted welcome to you.

I understand that it's usually not an easy decision to begin therapy. You may be here because something in your life isn't feeling right to you, or maybe you're worried about how others think of you, feel like you're stressed and running on empty too often.

Life is rough sometimes. I work with a wide diversity of clients. I am here in solidarity alongside you, to support you to find your way through whatever you're going through right now.

Practice description

Therapy means 'to accompany' and 'to be alongside'.

I will accompany you and support you to gain insights into your thoughts and emotions, so that you can create personal progress informed by greater self-awareness. You'll find, hopefully, that by the end of therapy, you understand yourself, your patterns, who you are, and what really matters to you so that you can create the changes that you need to in order to create better conditions for your thriving, as best as you can.

My first session

In our first session, you're invited to simply meet me and discuss what it is that you need from therapy. You're welcome to contact me to arrange your initial consultation, so that we can get to know each other and find out whether we're a good match for continuing to work together. Please choose a time/date via the appointment system on my website.

Want to reflect and grow in a creative, playful, and gentle supervision space?

Please feel welcome to book a free introductory call via my website.

About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Kesley Cage, a person-centred, psycho-spiritual counsellor and creative, integrative supervisor. I work online and face-to-face.

Practice description

You鈥檙e welcome to bring whatever feels alive for you. Supervision is provided to nurture and encourage you to explore your work and develop yourself as a practitioner of counselling/therapy.

Supervision is such an important part of therapeutic work, and creativity can bring a fresh, embodied dimension to reflection. Engaging both body and mind, creative processes can help shift stuckness, spark insight, and bring lightness, even humour, when needed.

This approach draws on established supervision models (including Hawkins鈥 7-Eyed Model & Proctor鈥檚 Three-Function Model) alongside creative, depth-oriented approaches like metaphors, symbols, writing, and sand play. It鈥檚 designed to help us:

  • See client-therapist dynamics from different perspectives.
  • Navigate ethical dilemmas with confidence.
  • Prevent burnout by processing challenges in a supportive space.
  • Deepen self-awareness and develop your practice.

Supervision has the potential to be collaborative, exploratory, and transformative. Our work together will be based on open communication, and developing an evolving supervisory process. Blocks and obstacles to supervision processes will be worked through together with transparency and candour. Through a real, contactful relationship both supervisee and supervisor are changed as we work together for the benefit of you and your clients.

Sessions might include:

  • Creative processes to help unlock fresh insights.
  • Space for deep reflection on your work, ethics, and relational dynamics.
  • Regular check-ins to ensure the supervision feels useful and meaningful.

Sessions online or in person in Brighton.

My first session

If this feels like something you鈥檇 be interested in, I鈥檓 happy to have a chat to see if it鈥檚 a good fit. No pressure, just an open conversation. You're welcome to book a time via my supervision page on my website.
