'I reached out to Pippa through the Counselling Directory website in 2023 having had some very stressful issues at work that was also affecting my home life. Pippa got back in touch very quickly to arrange an initial session. She has been an incredible support to me and has helped me work through the stresses I was facing as well as relationship support and grief when I lost a parent. I find the setting to be a comfortable and safe space and always feel supported and listened to. For anyone nervous about starting to talk to someone, I would highly recommend Pippa as a genuine, caring, and knowledgeable person.'

My first session
In our first session, we鈥檒l explore what has brought you to counselling at this time and begin to understand what you鈥檙e hoping to gain from the process. I鈥檒l also complete an initial assessment with you (or this can be commenced online), which includes using a brief assessment tool to help measure and monitor psychological distress at that point and over time.
This session is also a chance to outline how we鈥檒l work together and to ensure that counselling is the right service for you. It鈥檚 important to me that you feel comfortable and supported 鈥 I believe effective counselling depends on a genuine connection. I only continue working with clients who feel we鈥檙e a good fit and who are benefitting from the process.

Clinical Supervision 鈥 Person-Centred Trained in the Seven-Eyed Model and the Integrative Developmental Model (IDM)
I am very flexible with timings for supervision and can make provision around your busy schedules where necessary. I have availability for new clients and student counsellors looking to start their clinical work.
I offer clinical supervision to counsellors and therapists, drawing on a person-centred foundation and training in the Seven-Eyed Model and the Integrative Developmental Model (IDM). My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in ethical practice.
I see supervision as an essential part of working as a counsellor 鈥 not just a requirement, but a valuable space for reflection, learning, and support. It鈥檚 a time to pause, review your work, and gain perspective. Ideally, it鈥檚 also something to look forward to 鈥 a consistent point of connection that helps sustain your practice and wellbeing over time.
In my own supervision, I value having a space where I can reflect honestly, think critically, and feel supported in the work I do. I aim to offer that same kind of space to others 鈥 one that鈥檚 safe, respectful, and focused on your development. I鈥檓 aware that not all supervisory experiences are equally helpful, and I work to adapt my style to what you need in order to feel both supported and constructively challenged.
What I offer:
A non-judgemental and reflective space to explore your client work
A focus on ethical practice, your wellbeing, and your professional development
Support tailored to your experience and stage of practice
A relational, down-to-earth approach that values openness and curiosity
I work with both trainee and qualified therapists and welcome enquiries from those practising in a range of modalities. Our first session is an informal conversation to explore your needs and see if we鈥檙e a good fit to work together.
