Availability

I currently have availability within my practice and aim to offer flexible appointment times to suit a range of needs. I work Monday to Friday, with the majority of my sessions taking place in the late afternoon and evening, to accommodate those who work full time or have daytime commitments. I also offer Saturday morning appointments for clients who may find weekends easier to manage.

Sessions are available both online and in person, depending on your preference, and I always do my best to find a regular time that works for you. If my diary is full, I am happy to keep your details and let you know as soon as a suitable time becomes available.

If I plan to take annual leave or any extended time away from practice, I will always give clients as much notice as possible so that you feel supported and can plan ahead.

My intention is to make therapy as accessible and consistent as I can, providing a safe, confidential space where you can explore whatever is on your mind at a pace that feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about the difficulties you are experiencing. My approach is primarily person-centred, which means I place your needs at the heart of our work together and trust in your capacity to find your own way forward with the right support.

I also draw on elements of integrative practice, adapting my way of working to suit you as an individual. This may include exploring patterns in your relationships, recognising unhelpful cycles of behaviour, or using simple tools such as reflective journaling or grounding techniques to support you between sessions.

I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, loss, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and the pressures of work and family life. I also have experience in supporting clients through life transitions, trauma, and the impact of early experiences.

Alongside my individual work, I offer couples counselling. This provides a supportive environment for you and your partner to explore your relationship, improve communication, and navigate conflict more constructively. Together we can look at areas such as rebuilding trust, managing differences, and reconnecting emotionally, while also recognising the strengths that already exist between you.

My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you — listening with empathy, asking gentle but meaningful questions, and helping you to gain clarity and confidence in yourself and your relationships. Together we can create space to pause, reflect, and explore both what feels painful and what feels possible.

Practice description

Coming to counselling can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time, so I aim to make the process as welcoming and comfortable as possible. My practice offers a safe, confidential space where you can slow down, talk freely, and feel listened to without judgement.

Clients often tell me they value the calm, supportive atmosphere and the genuine care I bring to sessions. You can expect me to listen attentively, to respect your pace, and to work alongside you in exploring whatever is troubling you. Whether you are facing a current crisis or carrying longer-term struggles, we will work together to make sense of your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.

I see adults for individual counselling, and I also work with couples who want to strengthen their relationship, improve communication, or navigate conflict in a healthier way. Sessions can be held in person or online, depending on what works best for you.

I offer both short-term counselling, where we focus on a specific issue, and longer-term therapy for deeper exploration. My aim is to provide a flexible service that fits around your needs and circumstances.

I currently offer appointments Monday to Friday, mostly late afternoons and evenings to accommodate those who work full time, as well as Saturday mornings. If my diary is full, I can let you know when a space becomes available.

Above all, my practice is about creating a space where you feel safe enough to bring your real self — with all the challenges, questions, and hopes you may have — and to know you will be met with empathy, honesty, and respect.

My first session

I understand that taking the first step into counselling can feel uncertain, so I offer a free 15-minute consultation before you commit to ongoing sessions. This is an informal conversation, either online or in person, where we can talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you hope to gain, and whether I am the right fit for you. You are welcome to ask any questions you may have, and there is no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right.

If you decide to go ahead, our first full session will be 50 minutes. This time is about getting to know each other and beginning to explore what has brought you to therapy. I will ask some gentle questions to help me understand your background, current situation, and what you would like to work towards. We will also look at how we might work together — setting any goals, discussing boundaries, and agreeing on practicalities such as session frequency and payment.

My aim in the first session is to help you feel as comfortable as possible, knowing that you are in a confidential space where you will be listened to without judgement, and where we will move at a pace that feels right for you.
