Sessions from £60.00

Features

Availability

I am currently taking on new clients! I work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends. We can book sessions on a rolling weekly, fortnightly, or monthly basis, or just as and when you need them. I appreciate the difficulties that come with scheduling if you're someone who works shifts - I'm here to work around what's best for you.

I work in person in Glossop, and also offer walk and talk sessions in nature all over the surrounding Peak District. I'm happy to agree on a meeting point halfway that's convenient for us both! Additionally, I rent rooms around the Sheffield, Buxton, Manchester, and Stockport areas, depending on demand. I also work virtually online.

About me and my therapy practice

Alongside a Doctorate in Psychological Therapies and over 10 years of clinical training and practice, my approach is deeply informed by my own lived experience. As someone who has navigated eating disorder recovery for 15+ years, an adult ADHD diagnosis, and bisexual identity, I bring empathy and honesty to my work.

I'm not a blank-slate therapist - I show up as my genuine, authentic self so that you can feel safe to do the same. I'll challenge you thoughtfully, ask questions, and bring curiosity into our sessions so we can really deep dive and get to the root of matters together. My goal is to create a space where you can unmask, be honest, and truly feel accepted and empowered.

A big part of my work is addressing the shame so many people carry in secrecy - whether around body image and eating distress, gender or sexual identity, or neurodivergent masking. I hope to be the person who truly sees you, and allows you to bring your whole self - so you can start to heal and grow without needing to hide. It is a genuine honour to hold space for people to explore that kind of openness - sometimes for the first time.

My approach is also about giving you a whole toolbox of skills and techniques - my decade of professional training and lifetime of navigating my own mental health journey and intersecting identities is at your disposal! We'll find the strategies that work best for you and adapt them into transferrable skills so that you can take them with you, anywhere and anytime.

Whether you're coming to me for support with recovery, to explore your identity, or to unpick patterns (present or past), I'm here to support you in the way you need most at the time. I will walk alongside you, cheer you on, hold you accountable, point you in the direction of growth, and follow you as you discover your own path. I know from my vast personal and professional experiences that healing happens when we're ready. Let's get there together!

Practice description

My passion lies in three key intersecting areas: body image & eating difficulties; neurodivergence; and queer, trans & non-binary experiences.

I work with adults of all ages and young people aged 15+

I offer specialist expertise in the following areas:

  • Body image difficulties and distress
  • All eating disorders including ARFID, binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, and disordered eating
  • Men with body image and eating difficulties - understanding the particular challenges they face in seeking and getting meaningful help
  • Neurodivergence, including people with autism and ADHD and also those who are questioning/curious
  • The LGBT+ community, especially transgender, non-binary, and bisexual people - who face unique challenges and experiences of discrimination and marginalisation
  • Substance misuse and addictions
  • Intimacy, relationships, and sexual health

As a Doctor of Psychological Therapies, I have trained in a wide range of therapy modalities, including all three specialist eating disorder talking therapy treatments (MANTRA, CBT-E, and SSCM). I draw from different approaches such as compassion-focused therapy, schema therapy, solutions-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and person-centred therapy to create a unique, personalised blend of techniques and skills for each person I work with.

I bring a down-to-earth, warm and holistic, but also scientific and practical perspective to my work. I love educating people about the biology of our brains and bodies, as I find empowering people with this knowledge often helps them step away from self-criticism. I believe in meeting you where you are and building small, solid steps to enable meaningful, sustained progress - sometimes we have to work with the coping strategies we have first, to then be able to shift them.

I bring my whole heart, brain, and lifetime of learning - professionally and personally - to provide caring, enthusiastic, real-world support.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial video consultation where we can get to know each other - it's important you feel like your therapist is the right fit, as our relationship is central to the work we'll do together.

In your first therapy session, we'll agree on how we'll work together by mapping out the feel and focus of our sessions and picking a schedule that works for you. I'll talk you through the therapies that I think would be most suitable for you, considering both what's clinically indicated and what you're looking for. Of course, we'll adapt this as we get to know each other better and our work evolves!

I offer gift sessions and extras for ongoing clients. After 3+ months in therapy, you鈥檒l receive a complimentary session in your birthday month 鈥 a supportive gift during a time that can often feel difficult. After 6+ sessions, you can access shorter 30-minute 鈥渂ooster鈥 sessions if you need extra support around triggers such as holidays, anniversaries, or exams.

Individual therapy sessions with me typically cost 拢120. I offer an introductory bundle of 4 sessions with a 15% discount and ongoing blocks of 6 sessions with a 10% discount.

Wherever possible, I aim to make therapy accessible for those who need it. I offer intimate group therapy for 3-5 people at 拢60 per person for 90-minute sessions. Reduced rates for individual therapy are available for people facing adversity, like people from marginalised groups - please feel welcome to ask me about 鈥榩ay what you can鈥 options.

I appreciate the difficulties that come with scheduling if you're someone who works shifts - I'm here to work around what's best for you.

About me and my therapy practice

In addition to holding a Doctorate in Psychological Therapies and over 10 years of clinical training and practice, my approach as a therapist and supervisor is deeply informed by my own lived experience. As a neurodivergent and queer practitioner who has navigated my own mental health challenges, I bring empathy and honesty to my work.

I'm not a blank-slate supervisor - I show up as my genuine, authentic self so that you can feel safe to do the same. I'll challenge you thoughtfully, ask questions, and bring curiosity into our sessions so we can really deep dive and get to the root of matters together. My goal is to create a space where you can be vulnerable and honest, unmask, and be empowered to be your best self - professionally and personally.

Our work together in supervision will focus on ensuring you are providing safe, ethical, equitable, and high-quality support to your clients. We'll also ensure you are providing yourself with the resources needed to not just maintain but further develop your wellbeing, resilience, and knowledge base. I'm here to support you in the way you need most at the time. I will walk alongside you, cheer you on, hold you accountable, point you in the direction of growth, and follow you as you discover your own path. I know from my vast personal and professional experiences that growth happens when we feel safe and supported, and therefore able to be confident enough to be innovative and take chances.

My supervision approach is also about giving you a whole toolbox of skills and techniques - my decade of professional training and lifetime of lived experience is at your disposal! We'll find the strategies that work best for you, and adapt them into transferrable skills for use with your clients as well as to support yourself as a practitioner.

Practice description

I've trained as a Clinical Supervisor and am able to clinically supervise both qualified and trainee therapists, counsellors, and allied health professionals such as nurses and dietitians. I have additional training and experience in supervising MANTRA and CBT-E for eating disorders.

As a Doctor of Psychological Therapies, I have trained in a wide range of therapy modalities, including all three specialist eating disorder talking therapy treatments, as well as compassion-focused therapy, schema therapy, solutions-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and person-centred therapy. I use humanistic, developmental, and feminist supervision frameworks integratively in my work alongside specific models such as the 4x4x4 Model and the 7-Eyed Model.

My passion lies in three key intersecting areas: body image & eating difficulties; neurodivergence; and queer, trans & non-binary experiences.

I offer specialist expertise in in the following areas:

* Body image difficulties and distress

* All eating disorders including ARFID, binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, and disordered eating

* Men with body image and eating difficulties - understanding the particular challenges they face in seeking and getting meaningful help

* The LGBT+ community, especially transgender, non-binary, and bisexual people - who face unique challenges and experiences of discrimination and marginalisation

* Neurodivergence, including people with autism and ADHD and also those who are questioning/curious

* Substance misuse and addictions

* Intimacy, relationships, and sexual health

My supervisory style is down-to-earth, warm and holistic, but also practical and scientific. I love educating people about the biology of our brains and bodies, as I find empowering people with this knowledge often helps them step away from self-criticism. I bring my whole heart, brain, and lifetime of learning - professionally and personally - to provide compassionate, real-world supervisory support.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute initial video consultation where we can get to know each other - it's important you feel like your supervisor is the right fit, as our relationship is central to the work we'll do together.

In your first supervision session we'll agree on how we'll work together by mapping out the feel and focus of our sessions, identifying areas of interest and growth, and picking a schedule that works for you. Of course, we'll adapt this as we get to know each other better and our work evolves!
