About me and my therapy practice
Are things in your life feeling overwhelming? Perhaps you have a niggling sense of unease you can’t ignore. Maybe you are feeling the weight of an old wound, or trying to find your way through a fresh one.
Whatever brings you here, you’re welcome.
I’m Laura, a Íø±¬ÃÅ-registered therapist experienced in walking alongside people navigating change, living through hard times, or exploring a deeper sense of who they are. My approach is humanistic and grounded in compassion, respect, and the belief that you are the expert in your own world.
I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Person Centred Therapy, bringing them together to create a warm and supportive space. In our sessions, we’ll explore the different parts of you (the parts that protect, carry pain, or hold strong emotions) and connect to what feels most alive for you right now.
Both approaches trust your inner wisdom, helping you notice patterns, respond to challenges with greater calm, and build more balanced and authentic relationships with yourself and others. I also bring in relational, trauma-informed, and evidence-based ways of working, as well as mindfulness, creativity, and Jungian ideas such as exploring dreams and archetypes.
My practice is culturally aware, LGBTQ+ affirming, and holistic, honouring both mind and body. Sessions unfold at your pace, with space for whatever feels most important to you.
Practice description
I offer therapy to adults seeking support for life’s challenges or a deeper connection to themselves. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, low mood, loneliness, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, or simply a sense that things aren’t quite right, therapy can offer space to explore and make sense of what you’re feeling.
My practice offers a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where you can bring all parts of yourself. Together we’ll explore your experiences, identify patterns, and support the changes you wish to make. You’ll be met with warmth, curiosity, and respect for your individual pace and process.
