About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my profile. I provide client-led, talking therapy, from the perspective of (self)compassion, and mindfulness.

I'm particularly experienced in supporting clients with anxiety, panic and phobias; overcoming inner-criticism, low self-esteem/self-worth; depression, low mood; limiting beliefs; trauma; anger; grief and loss; and attachment styles (how they play out in interpersonal relationships).

What might a session be like?

  • Sessions are a blend of a supportive, exploratory dialogue (person-centered talking therapy), with self-help tools and strategies from compassion focused therapy, effortless mindfulness (a somatic style of practice), and mindful-CBT.
  • We'll tailor sessions to you and your needs (known as 'person-centered' therapy). With my role to be interactive - not only listening.

Practice description

My way of working integrates 'person-centered' counselling, with the practical, solution-focused approaches and self-experimental tools of 'effortless mindfulness', self-compassion, mindful-CBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

If you’re wrestling with existential questions, I have a background in Buddhism and a comfort with exploring existential/spiritual topics, from a curious, open-minded, point of view.

A particular niche is discussing self-worth, identity and 'self-hood'. I.e., who are we? What is our sense of self, and what could it be?

How long does therapy last?

A session lasts for 50 minutes. How many sessions you have is up to you. There is no minimum or maximum term.

Weekly or fortnightly sessions are available.

What does it cost?

£50 per session.

* I offer a concessionary rate for...

students, teachers,

NHS and health & social care workers, counsellors,

those out of work/on benefits, and OAPs.

My first session

Next steps…

I offer a free (no obligation) consultation (up to 30 minutes), via video or telephone call, where you can ask questions, and get a good sense of what I would be like to work with.

After that… you will have the option to book a first therapy session.
