About me and my therapy practice
My name is Sarah Louise MÍø±¬ÃÅ (Accred) (BA Hons, Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling). I am an accredited, integrative counsellor with experience working with both individuals and therapy groups. My approach draws on psychodynamic and person-centred models, allowing me to tailor sessions to each person’s unique needs.
I offer a warm, welcoming, and accepting space where you can explore what is happening in your life, how you feel about yourself and others, and what you might want to change. Together, we can work through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, stress, codependency, trauma, bereavement, and relationship difficulties.
I also have specialist experience in addiction, as well as in supporting family members affected by a loved one’s addiction. I understand how complex and painful this experience can be, and I provide a space where you can begin to find clarity, strength, and hope.
The quality of the therapeutic relationship I build with each client is central to my work — I believe it is one of the most important ingredients for personal growth and lasting change. My aim is to offer empathy, honesty, and understanding, helping you to feel seen, valued, and supported throughout your journey.
If you’d like to find out more or ask any questions about the way I work, I offer a free 15–20 minute consultation by phone or Zoom. This is an opportunity to see whether counselling feels right for you, with no obligation to continue.
I am a registered and accredited member of both the Íø±¬ÃÅ (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and the ACC (Association of Christian Counsellors), and I adhere to their ethical frameworks to ensure safe and professional practice.
Practice description
I have experience working one-to-one with clients, offering a safe and confidential space — whether that’s online via Zoom or in my peaceful therapy room.
I bring genuine empathy and understanding to my work. Having personally experienced the transformative power of therapy, I know how it can help us move from hopelessness to hope, and from feeling stuck to discovering growth, self-confidence, and freedom to change. Therapy can help us reconnect with ourselves and rediscover a sense of joy and purpose in life.
I love the work I do and have real hope for the journey of healing that counselling can offer. Every person’s path is unique, and it’s a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they explore, grow, and heal.
Taking the First Step
The thought of seeking help can feel daunting and overwhelming. You may simply need someone to listen and truly understand, or you may be ready to make meaningful changes in your life but unsure where to begin.
Whatever your situation, it takes courage to reach out for support — and that courage is the first step toward healing. I also understand how important it is to find the right counsellor for you.
With this in mind, I invite you to explore my website to learn more about how counselling might support you and what to expect from working together.
My first session
In our first Zoom or telephone call, I will take a few moments to introduce myself and invite you to share what has brought you to therapy. This is your opportunity to ask any questions and, if you wish, talk about what you hope to gain from counselling. I will also explain how I work and what you can expect from the process.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch by phone or email if you’d like to arrange this initial call. If I’m unavailable when you contact me, you’re welcome to leave a message, and I’ll aim to return your call within 24 hours.
