About me and my therapy practice

I help Multicultural & Third-Culture Kid Adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or conflicted about themselves and their future make sense of their experiences and emotions—so they can face life’s challenges with more clarity, self-trust, and ease.

I’m an experienced counsellor offering Online Counselling nationwide. Outdoor Counselling (walk & talk or sit & chat in nature) is also available in central Warwick.

If you are looking for a counsellor who understands what it’s like to live between cultures, to carry the weight of a complicated childhood and family expectations... who gets the quiet loneliness, the guilt, the inner conflict and self-judgement—I’m glad you’re here.

A little about me

I’m a multicultural, adult Third-Culture Kid (TCK)* and a counsellor who’s also been a client. I remember what it’s like to function well on the outside while feeling anxious and overwhelmed on the inside, wanting to change but unsure where to start.

Professionally, I’m an experienced integrative counsellor with a trauma-informed and compassionate approach. With over five years of counselling experience, I draw on a range of therapeutic and creative approaches to tailor our work to you, especially with how trauma, cultural influences, or emotional neglect may have impacted you.

I support clients from all walks of life, but my lived experiences led me to focus on working with adults from multicultural and international communities, including Adult Third-Culture Kids, Expats, Repats, and individuals in intercultural relationships.

*A Third-Culture Kid is someone who grew up between cultures, often moving countries or living outside their parents’ culture, which can impact identity and belonging.

Practice description

Some areas we could work together on:

  • Patterns of overthinking, overgiving, and burnout
  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm make you feel like you can't cope at work or lose control
  • People-pleasing, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome
  • Difficulty setting 'relevant' boundaries
  • Resentment or imbalance in relationships
  • Persistent guilt and shame tied to your past or identity
  • Low self-trust & self-esteem lead to self-doubt
  • Inner conflict around identity, belonging, and cultural/familial beliefs
  • Unspoken grief and invisible losses
  • Struggles with family obligations and cultural expectations
  • Uncertainty about life transition

How can I help

My clients often describe feeling lighter, clearer, stronger, and more empowered after our work together.

What you can expect from our sessions:

  • A space where you don’t have to hold it all together. You won’t be judged for being too emotional, too guarded, too much, too complicated, or not enough.
  • Clarity on why you feel the way you do and where those patterns came from. A deeper sense of self, rooted in who you are—not just who you were expected to be.
  • Compassionate support as you get to know the different parts of you, and reconnect with the ones you’ve had to hide, silence or avoid.
  • Practical tools, so you leave our sessions with insights and strategies you can actually use and are relevant to your life—if that’s what you’re looking for.

My approach is empathetic, collaborative, and culturally sensitive. If you’ve learned to minimise your feelings to get by, this space is for you. You don’t have to keep doing it all alone.

My first session

Free introductory call

I offer a free 15-20-minute intro chat for us to get a sense of each other, ask questions, and see if we may be the right fit.

I understand that this may not feel like much time to determine if I'm the right counsellor for you. I encourage you to consider how you feel when we're talking...

  • Do you feel comfortable talking to me?
  • Do you feel like you can ask me questions?
  • Do you feel that I'm empathetic and interested in what you have to say?
  • Do my responses feel relevant, respectful, and genuine to you?

If you're feeling alone, overwhelmed, possibly a little frustrated and conflicted right now, you're not alone. Many of us experienced similar struggles at some point in life. But if it’s negatively impacting your life and relationships, let’s work through it together.
