How I Work

I offer online and in-person sessions.

Face2Face session are held in Henley-on-Thames (The Cherry Tree)

I offer a confidential and compassionate space for reflection, expression, and integration.

Important Practice Ethos: Working together is a space to unlearn shame, remember your truth, and return to yourself.  You’re not broken,  you’re becoming.

Your symptoms are not signs of failure or weakness, but of your brilliance in survival.

Here, I don’t pathologise/label your pain, we'll make room for it.

Not to fix, but to re-member. Not re-traumatise, but to witness survival and make room for healing.

Not to erase, to honour.

About me and my therapy practice

About Me

I’m Kelly Giles, a relational, trauma-informed therapist offering a grounded, creative space for those navigating deep emotional pain, identity ruptures, and the quiet echoes of complex trauma.

I work with clients who feel misnamed or misunderstood - those whose experiences may have been reduced to a diagnosis; or that they don’t fit neatly into diagnostic boxes, and whose survival strategies were once necessary but now feel heavy.

Whether you’re dealing with emotional intensity, dissociation, relational difficulties, or simply a deep sense of "not being okay," our work will centre on your truth - not the story others have imposed on you.

My Approach

My practice draws from polyvagal theory, attachment-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and creative, somatic-informed processes. I believe in the power of safe relationship, clear boundaries, and restoring trust in the body’s wisdom. Together, we will make sense of the unspeakable, the messy, and the intuitive.

You don’t need to have it all figured out – just a willingness to begin.

Areas of Focus -

Complex trauma & CPTSD

Emotional dysregulation (BPD, EUPD, ADHD, ADD)

Therapy ruptures and relational wounds

Motherhood & generational pain

Self-harm

Shame/blame

Rebuilding after traumatic impact.

Being witnessed in a safe place can give us permission to begin to witness ourselves and move towards healing.

Practice description

My practice offers a safe, relational space for those carrying the imprint of early trauma, emotional overwhelm, or complex relational wounds. In private practice, I work with adults who often feel unseen, misnamed, or emotionally flooded - intuitive, sensitive souls who have learned to survive in ways that no longer serve them.

I am a qualified registered member of Íø±¬ÃÅ, integrative, trauma-informed therapist drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, polyvagal theory (PVT), and person-centred principles at the core. My work is grounded in the emerging field of neuroscience while deeply honouring ancient wisdom traditions.

Creative expression- through writing, humour, metaphor, dreams, and art - is welcomed as part of the healing process.

I specialise in supporting clients with complex PTSD (CPTSD), developmental trauma, emotional dysregulation (including BPD traits), therapeutic ruptures, and the long road of self-recovery.

Together, we explore not just what hurts, but what longs to emerge beneath the pain - truth, safety, voice, and self-trust. Being witnessed in our truth opens us up to self-discovery, creativity, and integrating lost parts of ourselves.

Sessions are offered online or in-person (Henley-on-Thames), and are shaped by compassion, clarity, and deep respect for your pace and process.

My first session

The first session is a gentle intro.  - a chance for us to get a sense of each other and explore what brings you here, without pressure or expectation. It's important you think about how you see yourself working alongside me. The relationship between therapist and client is an integral part of the healing process.

You don’t need to prepare anything in advance. I may ask a few questions about your history, current struggles, and what you’re hoping for from therapy, but there’s no formal assessment, and you’re free to share as little or as much as feels comfortable.

We’ll also talk through how I work, what you can expect from the space, and any questions or concerns you might have about the process. This session is about safety, clarity, and giving you the opportunity to feel into whether the fit feels right.

Sessions, including the first, are charged at £90 per hour.

Whether you’re feeling cautious, overwhelmed, or curious - you’re welcome to arrive exactly as you are.
