About me and my therapy practice

Do you find yourself stuck in the same emotional patterns, despite your best efforts to move forward?

Perhaps you're carrying unresolved feelings from the past that still shape your present - in your relationships, your self-esteem, or how you handle life’s challenges.

You might feel like your own worst enemy: overly self-critical, emotionally stuck, or caught in a mindset you can’t seem to shift. Maybe something painful happened that left you feeling frozen in time - struggling to move on, but unsure how.

You don’t have to figure this out alone. If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d love to hear from you.

Hello, I’m Kelly - a qualified psychodynamic therapist offering online and telephone counselling. I’m based in Epsom, Surrey, and work with clients across the UK.

You’ll find a safe, welcoming space to talk openly - whether you're facing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties or questions around identity, gender, or sexuality. I work affirmatively with people from all backgrounds and have particular experience supporting LGBTQ+ clients and those navigating bereavement, loss or major life transitions.

I have also worked as a lecturer and tutor in further education, teaching counselling theory and practical skills. This deepened my understanding of what helps people feel heard, respected, and supported in their personal development - while reinforcing the importance of ethical practice and professionalism in all aspects of my work.

Practice description

As a psychodynamic counsellor, I offer a reflective space where we can explore the deeper roots of the patterns you’re experiencing, gently making sense of how your experiences, past and present, may be shaping the way you think, feel, and relate to others today.

Together, we’ll work towards greater self-awareness, a clearer understanding of your emotional world, and insight into what may be holding you back - creating the freedom to make choices that feel more aligned with who you truly are, rather than being led by unconscious habits or self-judgement.

Over time, this process can help you soften harsh self-criticism, release buried anger or guilt, and foster more authentic, fulfilling relationships - including the one you have with yourself.

Whether you’re facing uncertainty, feeling overwhelmed, or simply curious about your inner world, I’m here to support you throughout your journey.

What my clients have said

Clients often describe gaining a deeper sense of self-awareness and empowerment through our work together. Many notice a shift in how they relate to themselves - speaking with more compassion and clarity, rather than criticism. They also report that the space we create offers fresh perspectives that lead to meaningful changes in their day-to-day thoughts and behaviours.

Many clients have also shared that they felt safe to explore painful or previously unspoken feelings and experiences. They describe this process as giving a voice to parts of themselves that had been hidden or silenced, allowing those aspects to be met with understanding, rather than shame or fear.

My first session

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step and it’s normal to feel unsure. What matters most is not having the answers but a willingness to begin.

Our first session (an initial consultation) lasts 60–90 minutes and costs £65. It’s a relaxed, confidential space where we can explore what’s brought you to therapy, what you'd like support with, and whether we feel like a good fit.

You’re welcome to ask any questions - there’s no pressure to commit. It’s simply a chance to see how therapy might help you.

If we decide to continue, sessions will take place weekly, last 50 minutes, and be held online or by phone, at £55 per session.
