About me and my therapy practice
You don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes things feel heavy or confusing, even when life looks fine from the outside. If you’re feeling anxious, low, or disconnected, or finding it hard to share what’s really going on, therapy can offer a calm, confidential space to pause and reflect.
I offer a steady, supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely and without judgment. My role is not to give advice, but to help you understand yourself more deeply — what might be behind the patterns, emotions, and relationships that shape your life.
I warmly welcome clients from all cultural, religious, ethnic, and LGBTQ+ backgrounds, and I work with openness and sensitivity to each person’s individual story. I also have experience supporting people who have grown up navigating diverse or conflicting cultural values, as well as neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and Autism. I recognise the emotional impact of living in a world that may not always understand your experience, and I offer a space where you can feel accepted and fully yourself.
Whether you’re struggling with specific challenges or simply wish to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can help you find clarity, self-acceptance, and a greater sense of connection in your life. Reaching out is a meaningful first step — we can begin wherever you are, and work at a pace that feels right for you.
Practice description
I’m a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and therapist, working with adults in Welwyn (near Hertford and WGC). I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Íø±¬ÃÅ) and follow their ethical framework to ensure professional and safe practice.
My approach is psychodynamic, which focuses on how early experiences shape our thoughts, feelings, and relationships today. Gaining insight into these links can help you make sense of recurring difficulties and open the door to change.
Sessions are held at least once a week and last for 50 minutes. I offer both short-term and open-ended therapy, tailored to your individual needs.
There is parking on site, and a bus stop is located just at the top of the road.
My first session
We would begin by having a brief ten-minute conversation to set up an initial meeting. From there, we can determine the best course of action to move forward with the therapy.
