About me and my therapy practice

Welcome

Counselling can help you manage your stress and emotions, helping you work through difficulties and challenges that you may be experiencing or that you may of pushed away and not felt able or willing to address.

Counselling will offer you the space to become aware of and work through patterns, emotions and thoughts.

Through understanding yourself you can find new ways of managing feelings and another prospective on your experiences leading to a place within yourself where you can be more comfortable, accepting and true to who you are.

Counselling is a safe space. A space I would hope where you will experience feeling valued, really listened to and accepted without judgment.

If you feel ready, we can work together at your pace, to find a way through whatever it is that is troubling you.

Warmest Regards Zareena

Practice description

I am a mum, a front-line worker, a volunteer and someone who believes passionately in the strengths of others.

I am of dual heritage and have both personal and professional experience and understanding of many cultures and backgrounds.

Person-Centered approach means you are always at the centre of our work and the strength of the relationship we build together will be key.

The foundation of my practice is trauma informed, care, support, empowerment and advocacy. This approach has built my practice, providing clients with compassion and understanding. As well as practical tools, programmes and resources to recognise and challenge, change patterns, rebuild and empower. The practice and tools used in my therapy room provide good outcomes for my clients.

I have experience and skills in working with those who have been impacted by all types of abuse and I am deeply committed to working through that experience with clients to get to a place of peace, healing and being able to move forward.

My experiences as a Place2Be Counsellor in education age 14+ and extensive specialised experience in the voluntary sector and domestic abuse services give me a broader and current understanding of issues affecting families and communities. I am an experienced Facilitator of several awareness programmes.

I work with adults and young people who are experiencing challenges in their life for example feeling low or hopeless, depression, anxiety, stress, in crisis, trauma, low self esteem or are struggling with deeper mental health challenges.
