About me and my therapy practice
I am an accredited therapeutic counsellor with experience of providing humanistic and integrative counselling and psychotherapy. This means I am comfortable using different approaches to help you understand yourself better.
I believe each person has the capacity and should have the autonomy to fulfil their personal potential. However, in our busy and demanding lives, it is all too easy to lose sight of who we are, what we want, what’s important and where we are going. Counselling provides a way to help you rebalance and find yourself. Giving yourself time to just be, to talk freely and feel fully heard and understood leads to change, development, and personal growth.
Practice description
My hope is to provide you with an open, confidential, and non-judgmental space where you can come to understand yourself and the problems you are experiencing. Perhaps you feel as if all your problems have been rammed into a suitcase, in a tangled mess, and the lid slammed shut so they can be forgotten about. And maybe it feels terrifying to open it back up again for fear of what you might face. Counselling provides the space to help you open that suitcase, look inside, unpack, rearrange or discard what is not needed, and repack that suitcase so that you can travel forward, unencumbered, on life’s journey.
You may only want short-term work to focus on a specific problem or area of your life. I suggest a minimum of six consecutive weekly sessions to allow time for the therapeutic relationship to develop. For more deep-seated issues, I recommend an open-ended number of sessions. I offer both face-to-face and online sessions.
Currently, in addition to my private practice, I work within an NHS community mental health team as a psychologist supporting working-age adults (18-65) with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. Previous settings where I have provided therapeutic counselling include: college counselling (16+), community-based charities supporting adults with physical and mental health problems, people affected by substance misuse, and adults within the criminal justice system. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I undertake regular continuing professional development to ensure I support my clients ethically and competently.

As the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the counselling process, it is essential that you feel comfortable with whomever you choose as your therapist. I offer an introductory 20-minute online session free of charge. This allows us to meet and start exploring how we might work together.

About me and my therapy practice
Supportive, ethical clinical supervision in person in Woking, Surrey and online (UK-wide). For counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainee therapists.
Throughout my training and practice as a psychologist, counsellor, and psychotherapist, my supervisors have played a pivotal role in my learning, growth, and personal development. The safe space of supervision is one that both encourages and challenges me, helps me reflect on the transference and countertransference, and supports me in creating and shaping my integrative practice. Working as a counsellor or psychotherapist, particularly in private practice, can sometimes feel very lonely and isolating. Regular, high-quality supervision is essential for maintaining an ethical practice.
I would now like to bring my extensive clinical experience, training in psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, ethical practice, and relational approach to supervision to support you wherever you are in your journey –a trainee, newly qualified, or an experienced practitioner. I hold a certificate in supervision skills with the British Psychological Society, pending registration on their Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS). As a firm believer in continuing professional development, I start the Diploma in Integrative Supervision with the Minster Centre starting at the end of September.
I am an integrative Íø±¬ÃÅ-accredited counsellor and UKCP-registered psychotherapist. I have also completed doctoral training in Counselling Psychology at Metanoia Institute. I have substantial experience working with a range of client presentations in various settings (private practice, further education colleges, substance misuse charity, disability support charity, and the NHS). I have worked extensively with people who have experienced trauma, who are neurodivergent, and people identifying with a different gender to the one assigned at birth.
