About me and my therapy practice
I specialise in supporting individuals dealing with ADHD, anxiety, bereavement, and pregnancy. These are areas of therapy I am especially passionate about. My qualifications and experience also extend across a broad spectrum of concerns and often clients have multiple issues they would like to explore.
I am a fully qualified experienced counsellor, with 15 years in the mental health sector. My integrative diploma equips me to address a wide range of issues, drawing on various counselling models. This flexible approach enables me to collaborate with clients and identify the therapeutic practices that best suit their needs. I offer a safe, supportive space for clients to address whatever challenges they may face. I have also published articles on working with ADHD, Bereavement and Pregnancy and birth.
Alongside my core counselling training I have completed various supplementary courses on ADHD, couples therapy, pregnancy and birth, anxiety and trauma.
In addition, I have substantial experience assisting with relationship difficulties, family dynamics, terminal illness, passive aggressive behaviour, anger, shame, abuse (including historical and emotional), parental support, general anxiety, trauma, rape and sexual abuse, parenting challenges, workplace problems, and stress.
Practice description
I work online, on the telephone and in-person from counselling rooms I hire in Wapping / Shadwell E1W. My in person rooms are friendly warm and bright, but private spaces.
My core training is integrative and takes in elements of person centred, psychoanalytic, humanistic cognitive and transpersonal models. I use these approaches to work out what works best for you. I firmly believe the relationship between the client and counsellor is important which is why I offer a free 20 minute consultation to get to know each other and see if you think we are a good fit.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute consultation to find out a bit more about you and for you to get to know me and see if you feel we could work together. This is not a counselling session, more of an introduction.
After that my sessions are 50 minutes at the same time weekly. I work online, on the phone or face to face whichever suits your needs. Sessions are priced at £70 face to face or £60 online or on the phone, due to counselling room rental charges.
