About me and my therapy practice

Counselling with me can help unlock different thoughts so that you can lead a more positive life. Clients tell me they feel relieved, understood, and that they have a voice again.

Please see specialties below for individuals and couples therapy.

For individuals I specialise in ;

Anxiety: My clients often have anxiety as the core issue and are struggling to manage or cope with this on their own. This includes social anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder.

Depression: We all have times when our mood is low, and we're feeling sad or miserable about life. Usually, these feelings pass in due course. But if the feelings are interfering with your life and don't go away after a couple of weeks, it could be a sign that you're experiencing depression.

Feeling lost: can be caused by several factors, such as a lack of purpose, fulfilment, or direction. Right now, it may seem like life has no meaning. The important thing to tell yourself is that you need to go easy on yourself instead of blaming yourself for feeling lost.

Relationship Counselling for individuals:

Some clients have anxiety from using dating apps, starting fresh with someone new or ending something (e.g. relationship, job, moving etc..) and the anxiety that comes with it.

I can help you find the mental strength to move forward, be more self-assured and confident in your relationships on a personal, work or friendship level.

Practice description

Who Should Consider Couples Therapy?

It’s for all couples of all ages and at all stages of their relationship not just for those in crisis.

Therapy for couples can resolve a current problem, prevent problems from worsening, or provide a “check-up"

Common issues addressed in couples therapy include:

Money, parenting, sex, affairs, family and friends, chronic illness, conflict.

What happens in a couple’s therapy session?

The therapist looks at each person and how their role in the relationship, difficulties, need and wants affects each other and the couple.

A therapist is always a neutral party.

I work with couples to repair trust, improve communication, and strengthen their emotional intimacy with each other.

Here’s how I can support you as a couple accessing therapy:

  • Improved Communication I can help you both express feelings and thoughts more openly and respectfully.
  • Conflict Resolution Skills You’ll learn how to navigate disagreements without escalating into fights or shutting down.
  • Understanding Patterns Therapy can uncover unhealthy patterns and triggers that keep causing issues.
  • Rebuilding Trust If trust has been damaged (e.g., by lies, betrayal, or neglect), therapy offers a space to repair it safely.
  • Emotional Support You both get an impartial third party to help validate experiences and mediate tensions.
  • Strengthening Connection I often give exercises to rekindle emotional and physical intimacy.

The aim is not to point the finger and blame, but to help both parties reconnect emotionally – to listen to their partner.

These are some of the benefits couples therapy can offer:

Understand each other better: I can help you understand yourself and your partner better.

Identify relationship issues: I can help you and your partner identify issues that are leading to recurring conflicts, lack of trust.

Improve communication skills: I can help you and your partner communicate with each other.
