About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Nikki and I am a qualified integrative therapist based in Grimsby (DN32) and online across the UK. I work with adults, young people, couples and families.
I have a special interest in neurodiversity, trauma, identity, relationships and anxiety. I offer a warm, open and down-to-earth approach, and I will support you in making sense of what's going on and finding a way forward- at your pace.
I provide a free 15-minute consultation to help you decide if I am the right fit for you.
Life is full of ups and downs that can result in feeling stressed, overwhelmed and questioning yourself and the world around you. Therapy can help with various issues, including feeling alone, lost, worried, sad, angry, or anxious. Communication difficulties, relationship/family issues, and struggling after a traumatic event can all be explored in therapy by talking through what is going on for you, your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Change can be a scary thought, but counselling can be a really helpful process for personal growth, developing boundaries and self-awareness.
I am very passionate about counselling and truly believe in the unique connection that counselling offers. The open, non-judgmental environment offers a safe space to talk where you can be heard and seen. I will go at your pace and help you find your answers. I hope that coming to counselling, you can feel more empowered.
Practice description
I tailor therapy to each person, drawing from a range of approaches including person-centred, CBT and systemic therapy.
Sessions offer a safe, reflexive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, relationships or past experiences, without judgement. Im here to help you make sense of things and feel more in control.
As someone diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, I bring lived experience and understanding of how neurodivergence can shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I work affirmatively with LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse clients and welcome all parts of you into the therapy room.
My first session
The first session will run through the counselling agreement, and I will answer any questions you may have.
We will discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to gain, and take it from there.
