About me and my therapy practice

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that no one method works for everyone. We all have different histories, needs, and ways of making sense of the world. That鈥檚 why I take a flexible, collaborative approach 鈥 shaped around you.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, which allows us to adapt the work depending on what feels most useful. This might mean talking things through and exploring patterns or stories that shape how you see yourself. At other times, we may tune into the body 鈥 noticing sensations, emotions or nervous system responses that don鈥檛 always come through in words. I also offer creative tools such as metaphor, imagery or simple mark-making, which can help express something that鈥檚 hard to say directly.

Many people I work with find it helpful to explore different parts of themselves 鈥 like the inner critic, the anxious voice, or the part that feels shut down or protective. Getting to know these parts gently and with compassion can open space for greater understanding, clarity and change.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, the effects of trauma, grief, identity questions, or simply feeling disconnected, I鈥檒l meet you with warmth and care. We'll go at your pace, working together to find a rhythm and style that feels safe and meaningful to you.

I work entirely online, so you can access therapy from wherever feels most comfortable and safe for you. The relationship between us is central, and I aim to build a space that feels steady, respectful, and real 鈥 where you can bring your whole self, however that looks right now.

Practice description

I offer warm, compassionate online therapy for people who are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck 鈥 especially if those feelings have been around for a long time. You might be living with the effects of trauma, finding it hard to feel safe or connected, or struggling with a loud inner critic. Or perhaps you're going through a big life change or feeling lost and unsure of who you are. Whatever you鈥檙e facing, you鈥檙e welcome here.

I aim to provide a grounded, non-judgemental space where you can slow down and begin to make sense of things 鈥 at your own pace, in a way that feels safe for you. You don鈥檛 need to have the right words or a clear goal. We can explore gently, with curiosity and care.

I take a flexible, collaborative approach to therapy. That means I don鈥檛 follow one set method 鈥 instead, I draw from a range of talking, creative, and body-based approaches, depending on what feels helpful. This might include noticing what鈥檚 happening in your body, working with metaphor or imagery, or exploring different 鈥減arts鈥 of you that may be in conflict or distress. I often work with people who feel disconnected from themselves and want to feel more whole, grounded and self-compassionate.

My sessions last a full hour, which gives you time to settle in, explore what鈥檚 important without feeling rushed, and reground gently before we finish. This extra time allows us to go deeper and include creative or body-based practices when needed, supporting a more relaxed and meaningful experience. 

You are welcome to bring your whole self to therapy 鈥 including your creativity, spirituality, neurodivergence, and identity. I work in a gender-affirming and LGBTQ+ inclusive way, and have experience supporting neurodivergent clients (including autism and ADHD).

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute introductory Zoom call so you can get a feel for how I work and whether it feels like a good fit. If we decide to go ahead, sessions are 60 minutes and held online. In our first session, we鈥檒l take time to talk about what鈥檚 brought you to therapy and what you hope for 鈥 but there鈥檚 no pressure to share everything at once.

The pace and shape of our work will always be guided by you. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, respected and met with care 鈥 just as you are.
