I usually work between 10 am and 7pm Monday to Thursday.
I purposefully keep a limited caseload of less than 12 clients which means I can offer a flexible service to my clients.
In person clients need to commit to consistent weekly/fortnightly sessions due to the constraints of room bookings.
About me and my therapy practice
Using a wide range of approaches to counselling and therapy I have been in practice as an Integrative Counsellor for 10 years and bring Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Breathwork, Internal Family Systems, and Eco-therapy into my practice.
I offer a professional, bespoke service to clients, with regular reviews. Whilst I have Counselling training and experience, you are the expert on yourself. Counselling can often be exploring your experience, your story, your thoughts and feelings and seeking clarity to give you the answers you need.
Weekly and fortnightly 50 minute sessions can be provided for a limited case load of clients, on-line or in person. Each client expects and receives an individualised service.
In person sessions can be arranged at The Lake House, Kent. https://lakehousekent.co.uk or Ashford Volunteer Centre https://ashfordvc.org.uk
To book sessions contact me on pennygrigg@hotmail.com, through my website, or phone 07979 245030 and leave a message. I will get back to you within 12-24 hrs to arrange a complementary introductory call.
In person 'walk and talk' sessions can be arranged as part of an ongoing programme of therapy.
Please see https://pgtherapy.co.uk for more details about me and the way I work.
Practice description
I provide a complementary 20 minute introductory session so we can establish how and if we want to work together. There is no obligation in making an inquiry.
We then arrange an initial 50 minute session and I ask you to commit to a further 5 sessions so we can start our work together.
Depending on the issues you bring to therapy how long we continue in our therapeutic relationship is flexible. Some clients want ongoing therapy, others move on after a few months.
We review the work continually, ensuring you get what you need from me. I provide a flexible, individual service.
My online work uses a confidential video conferencing application that meets with the Data Protection Act 2018 so you know your data is safe.
Please make sure you're in a safe confidential space where you will not be disturbed for your sessions if you choose to work online. Therapy works best when you're unhurried and can free the time to honour yourself, of course in out busy lives this is not always possible so we may have to adapt.
Counselling is a journey, sometimes discomforting, sometimes validating. It can provide comfort and release painful emotions and also give us the strength to face challenges and find the strategies that make life more tolerable and understandable.
My first session
After our introductory call to find out what you're seeking from counselling/therapy our first session would be the opportunity to set the ground for our work together.
Some people use this 1st session as an opportunity to unload in a 'safe space,' it is the beginning of a new therapeutic relationship between you as a clint and me as a counsellor.
We all carry the burdens of our existence and many try hard to make the best of a complex life. Counselling can help you find focus and clarity in a complex world. We will work together to find a course of therapy that gives you what you need
