I support adults to explore and perceive new meaning by querying life experiences and relationships, through Transpersonal Arts.
I practice as a Person-centred and Relationship-centred Transpersonal Arts Counsellor in and around Aberdeen, and internationally online.
I offer sessions to individuals and small groups of Therapeutic Arts during weekdays in the daytime, evenings and some weekend session times can also be accommodated.
I also offer community and staff wellness programmes of Eurythmy movement - a sequence to support our discovery of Natures Rhythms in coming to oneself. The programme is helpful for navigating rising sensitivities and the social polarisation.
You may refer to my website for upcoming courses and workshops.
Thank you.

About me and my therapy practice
Hello and Welcome to my page.
My name is Nisha. I practice as a Relationship-centred Transpersonal Arts Counsellor in and around London and internationally online.
I support adults to explore and perceive new meaning by querying life experiences and relationships, through Transpersonal Arts.
I offer sessions to individuals, groups, and teams throughout the week.
I also facilitate community and staff wellness programmes of Eurythmy movement - a sequence to support our discovery of Natures Rhythms in coming to oneself. The programme is helpful for navigating rising sensitivities and the social polarisation.
Like the seasons of Nature and the moving stars, change is inevitable.
How we move towards changes can be learned and practiced through art-making and self enquiry.
Moving through discomforts, new horizons may be inspired to arise, and new ground to be felt under our feet.
In time, we may come to say:
"As I open to change, my relationship to myself changes, and the relationships around me change, for I am changed through my reflective relationships".
Rooted in anthroposophical principles, I support people to regenerate creative ecosystems, through the awareness of how diverse uses of art-making can transform the self and our society in personal, cultural and spiritual ways.
With personal and social responsibility at the heart of my work, I provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for my clients, from all walks of life.
As a fully registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a member of the Association of Anthroposophic Therapeutic Arts, I adhere to ethical frameworks and guidelines to ensure that you receive a professional service.
To date, I have worked with adults in crisis counselling, school teams, staff wellbeing, and groups in Nature-based therapy, school children, multi-cultural organisations and community groups, and people with additional needs.
I look forward to meeting you.
Nisha
Practice description
The Apple Aniseed Arts counselling service is a small private practice.
In the first instance, it would be good for us to meet over a Zoom or MS Teams video call, and you can give me some impressions of what you are experiencing and observing of your self and others that feels challenging.
I can tell you about the arts-based approach, the options around session cycles, and answer any questions you may have for me.
This initial conversation is free, and is for us both to see if we wish to work together.
Some of the ways in which we would approach the Self, is through, poems, simple line drawings, charcoal and soft pastel work, fairytale stories, therapeutic painting with watercolours, and natural clay modelling processes. These work in diverse ways to support whole person health and wellbeing, where you remain in charge of the reflective process.
You do not need any specific art skills to benefit from art therapy, nor do you need to be in a certain age group. Everyone can experience its many benefits no matter your background, age, or current life situation.
The series is offered in cycles of 12, 16, and 24 sessions. You can decide to end the therapy at any time; ideally allowing for three weeks for a hygienic closure of your process..
I will give you adequate notice of any upcoming holidays that I am planning to take.
One hour sessions: £75-120 (sliding scale based on trust as per your earnings and savings capacity).
If we are meeting online, I will email you a list of art materials to gather for your guided arts processes.
For small group workshops and enquiries for collaborative workshops and retreats, please email me.
Anthroposophical Arts can address a number of the difficult and pressing challenges in our world crises, and I invite you to experience its many subtle gifts of change.
My first session
In the first instance, we would meet online via Zoom / MS Teams, for a consultation conversation, to discuss what themes and questions you would like to explore.
In your first session we will create a therapeutic agreement together, in words and colours.
It would help me also, to know of your prior experiences of any Therapy or Counselling, and what worked best for your needs, and what did not.
We may discuss what you envisage as being the outcome of coming to the other side of the challenges you are experiencing at this time, or something you would like to make sense of.
You may also want to tell me what you have appreciated or felt uncomfortable with, in previous encounters with therapists or counsellors.
Please feel free to ask questions throughout; so that they resound in the space, rather than be immediately answered.
We will end our first session with an idea of what your therapy goals are, so that we can focus our time together as we go along each week.
Confidentiality is of upmost importance. Your therapy and personal information will be kept securely.
Information about the process will need to be shared with my Supervisor, who regularly reviews my practice. Full names will not be shared.
Confidentiality will be broken if I have concerns that you or anyone else is at risk. If this occurs, it will be discussed in the session and recommendations will be discussed and documented in your notes. I may contact your GP or emergency contact for this purpose.
Thank you for your understanding.
