Availability
I offer counselling on a part-time basis and aim to provide flexibility around days, times, and how sessions are accessed — whether by phone, video, or in person.
I’m sharing this so you can make informed choices and find a way of working together that feels right for you.
About me and my therapy practice
Walking Alongside You
Let’s walk this path you are on, side by side for a while — gently exploring what’s here, and what might lead you toward peace, purpose, and a better way through life.
That’s the spirit in which I offer counselling. I work hard to keep my skills and expertise at a level that supports you well. I’m proud to hold Íø±¬ÃÅ Accredited status — a professional recognition of my commitment and experience. I continue to develop my practice. I’m currently exploring a research project to deepen and broaden my work even further. My work is supervised by Mervyn Reid, Registered Member MÍø±¬ÃÅ (Accredited).
I am committed to walking alongside you with care, compassion, and curiosity as you navigate the curve balls life can throw. My approach is collaborative and person-centred, meaning you are always in the driving seat — we go at your pace, with your needs leading the way.
Some of the areas I regularly support clients with include:
* Stress and anxiety
* Trauma and abuse (including non-recent and childhood trauma)
* Grief and loss
* Depression and low mood
* Menopause-related challenges (trained with RSPH, NHS & Health Education England, 2022)
* Relationship issues, including polyamory and conscious uncoupling
* Goal-directed support and single-session interventions
You can expect to be met with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. We will work together to tailor a plan that fits you — your circumstances, values, and goals.
Taking the first step toward a more fulfilling and balanced life takes courage. I’m here to support you in that process and to walk with you on your journey toward a better place.
Practice description
My Training with Children and Young People
Although I work with adults, I hold specialist therapeutic training in counselling children and young people. This deeply enriches my work with adults — particularly when it comes to attachment patterns, family dynamics, and early life experiences that continue to influence how we live and relate as adults.
A Note About the Counselling Process
It’s important to know that counselling can sometimes feel challenging. There may be times when you feel emotionally tired after a session, or notice things feel a little heavier before they begin to ease. This is part of the process of healing and change.
When possible, I encourage you to give yourself time and space after a session — whether that’s going for a walk, having a bath, listening to music, or anything that feels nourishing and right for you.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals — **adults, young adults, and children** — offering each person a therapeutic space that’s safe, respectful, and entirely your own.
Ways We Can Work Together
* Face-to-face sessions (from my home-based practice)
* Online counselling (flexible, accessible, and secure)
* Long- and short-term therapy
* One-off, single-session interventions
My first session
At our first meeting, I’ll share more information about how I work and introduce some gentle assessment tools that can support our work together. It’s also a chance for you to get a feel for me and how I work. Most importantly, it’s your opportunity to decide whether I’m the right therapist for you — and I fully support you having the agency to make that choice with confidence and comfort.
