About me and my therapy practice
For me, the greatest value proposition is helping you develop psychological insights and skills that enable you to ease emotional pain and create a genuinely rewarding life. This philosophy grew out of my years as a project manager, where I realised that material success鈥攚hile important鈥攊sn鈥檛 enough to be truly happy. Guided by this discovery, I trained in cognitive, behavioural, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapies so I can help you navigate the trials and challenges of your journey through the sometimes messy realities of life.
Practice description
My aim in therapy is to help you figure out what鈥檚 really going on beneath the surface of your life and find strategies that actually work for you.
Often, people try to push through by sheer willpower, hoping that if they just try harder things will finally change. The problem is that effort without the right strategy often leaves you stuck in the same place, exhausted and discouraged. As the saying goes: 鈥淭he definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.鈥 That鈥檚 not going to be us.
With the insights we gain through psychological exploration, we鈥檒l focus on adjusting your approach so you can make genuine progress. I won鈥檛 shy away from challenging you when it鈥檚 needed, but I鈥檒l always be fair. And no matter what, as your therapist, I鈥檒l care about you and fight in your corner every step of the way.
My first session
Sometimes people come in with a clear sense of what they want, and sometimes it can take a bit of time to figure out. That鈥檚 okay 鈥 I'll adjust my approach to ensure that we are making progress in a way that's right for you.
We鈥檒l start with an assessment where I鈥檒l ask you some questions about how you鈥檝e been feeling, the issues that bring you to therapy, and the goals you鈥檇 like to work on.
From there, we鈥檒l agree on a preliminary therapy plan and build in regular reviews to make sure we鈥檙e on track and that you鈥檙e making genuine progress.
