About me and my therapy practice

Hello, I offer counselling and psychotherapy online. I also work as a counselling tutor and clinical supervisor. I work with a range of mental health and well being issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, stress and relationship difficulties. I am also experienced with supporting student counsellors on their training journey.

My qualifications include a Level 6 Adolescent Counselling Diploma, a Level 6 Transactional Analysis Adult Counselling Diploma and a Post Graduate Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. I draw on a number of ways of working to ensure your needs are most helpfully supported. Overall, I aim to offer compassionate interventions and therapy respectful of who you are, your history, journey and choices.

Practice description

At the heart of my practice is a recognition of the importance of the therapeutic relationship, and you feeling understood, safe and accepted. I offer empathic therapy, understanding and care, to facilitate the changes you want, or support with the difficulties you face. Things might perhaps feel overwhelming, but know that whatever you bring it is ok; we'll work together to attend to what is hard.

Some people come to therapy for personal development, to gain insight into why they and others do the things they do, or think / feel the way they do. People often want to make sense of what may have happened/be happening in their life, gain awareness of who they are, what affects them, what is important and makes them happy. Sometimes people come because things are very hard, it's difficult to cope and it's challenging to know the way forward. Whatever your reason for coming, I offer compassionate support, to ensure your needs are met and your aims supported.

Drop me an email and we can arrange a time to have a chat either on the phone, or on zoom and see if we might be a good fit to work together.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified supervisor, offering supervision to both individuals and groups, online. My supervisory experience includes supervising counsellors and also staff of organisations working with vulnerable adults or children. My experience as a therapist includes primary and secondary school counselling and for adults: university counselling, a low cost adult counselling service and private practice.  I tutor at The Link Centre Counselling and Psychotherapy training institute in East Sussex.

My own counselling training includes two core trainings: A Level 6 Integrative Creative Arts Counselling Diploma for under 18s (IATE - London) and a Level 6 Transactional Analysis Counselling Diploma for adults (The Link Centre - Sussex).  Following this, I achieved a level 7 Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy  (The Link Centre - Sussex).

I offer a containing space to support, develop and reflect with supervisees. I aim to foster a safe, encouraging environment that allows supervisees to explore areas of difficulty without invitations to shame. My hope is that less experienced supervisees gain confidence and proficiency in their therapeutic efficacy, whilst having the opportunity to develop their identity as practitioners, and more experienced supervisees have a respectful, collegial space to reflect and share.

It is my intention to provide safety, and the professional but warm space I experience in my own supervision. I know what a beneficial relationship this can be and how important it is to get right.
