About me and my therapy practice
I am a compassionate and approachable therapist dedicated to supporting you through whatever challenges you may be facing. I work with a broad range of issues but have a particular interest and experience in helping clients navigate the impact of narcissism, especially experiences related to narcissistic parents, as well as attachment styles and how they shape our adult relationships. This can include repeated relationship patterns, relational trauma, anxiety, fear of abandonment and difficulty with boundaries.
I also integrate creativity into the therapeutic process and use somatic approaches in my work. Somatic therapy focuses on the body’s experience of trauma and stress, recognising that unresolved trauma can be held in the body and affect both emotional and physical well-being.
Alongside my private practice, I also work for a low cost counselling service based in St. Albans, provide tutor support to trainee therapists and have experience of facilitating groups within one of the UK’s leading mental health charities. My background also includes many years working within organisations to develop and deliver employee engagement and well-being programmes.
Life’s experiences can sometimes feel overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to talk to those closest to us. You may feel stuck or unsure of how to move forward. I offer a confidential, respectful, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
