About me and my therapy practice
If you are struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating ADHD or PMDD, or looking for help with your relationships, my approach is tailored to you.
My way of working with individuals is person-centred and relational with a focus on self-regulation and calming the nervous system. We will pay close attention to how you are relating to yourself, to me, and to the people in your world, and you will be invited to use this information as a vessel for change and growth.
I am not a passive listener—I bring my full presence to sessions, offering both deep support and meaningful challenge where helpful. I use creative therapeutic techniques and borrow insights from various modalities to ensure we are working in a way that meets your individual needs.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I recognise the impact of our past on our present difficulties. I work sensitively with trauma, working with you to create a space where you can feel safe, regulated, and in charge of your healing process. While we regularly review our work to ensure we remain in service to the present, I invite you to explore the roots of your struggle, by looking back and understanding your story.
In my work with couples, I combine this relational and trauma-informed approach with evidence-based relationship therapy techniques (Imago and Compassion-Focussed Therapy) supporting you to make the changes in your relationship that feel right for you both, in a structured and supportive guided process.
Practice description
I hold a Master's degree in person-centred counselling and psychotherapy and was awarded a distinction for both my degree and my research in this field. I have worked with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, overwhelm, relationship challenges, abuse, loss, stress, and vague feelings of stuckness. I have worked with a diverse range of client experience and bring an open, non-judgmental approach to therapy. I have also previously worked as a suicide prevention therapist.
As a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, I adhere to a robust ethical framework and engage in regular training and supervision to ensure I continue to offer the best possible support to my clients.
I can support clients through a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss, abuse, and suicidal thoughts. I also work with those who feel stuck or disconnected but may not yet have the words to describe why. Whatever you bring to therapy, I offer a compassionate and engaged space where we can explore your experiences together.
My first session
Our first session is an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it. We will discuss how we can work together in a way that feels most effective and supportive for you. Therapy is open-ended, but I review our work every six sessions to ensure it continues to feel valuable.
To help you decide if we’re the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation.
