About me and my therapy practice

About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Lotus Be Tranquil Counselling. I work with adults, children, and young people offering face-to-face, online, telephone, and walk-and-talk/nature therapy sessions. My practice specialises in anxiety, low mood and depression, and teenage issues.

As a neurodivergent counsellor and neurodiversity specialist, I have extensive experience supporting autistic and ADHD adults and young people. My approach is neuro-affirming and inclusive, ensuring that reasonable adjustments are made to meet each client’s individual needs.

I offer a holistic and creative therapeutic experience, drawing on psychoeducation and various therapeutic styles to support clients in understanding themselves and navigating their challenges.

Having worked for over 25 years across counselling, social care, education, and third-sector services, I bring a depth of understanding to my work with children, young people, adults, and families. I also have lived experience as both an autistic adult and a parent of autistic children, which adds a genuine empathy and insight to my practice.

Counselling doesn’t have to be limited to talking – I integrate creative methods,  psychoeducation resources ,art , play therapy, and nature based mindfulness to help you express yourself in ways that feel natural and comfortable. My aim is to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore what’s happening for you at your own pace.
