About me and my therapy practice
Welcome – I’m glad you’re here.
Whether you're an individual navigating a challenging season of life or a couple working to reconnect, you're not alone. My counselling practice offers a warm, confidential space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to make sense of what’s going on.
You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about your next steps. Perhaps there’s been a life event or ongoing pattern that’s led you here. You may be in a relationship that feels strained—due to communication issues, emotional disconnection, an affair, or external pressures. Many of the couples I work with find that their relationship is being impacted by the influence of parents or extended family, often in subtle but powerful ways — such as the stress of caring for elderly parents, navigating controlling or over-involved family members, or managing the lasting effects of narcissistic behaviours within the family system.
I also have experience working with neurodivergent couples, helping partners better understand each other’s differences in communication, emotional expression, and needs. Together, we can explore how to build stronger connection, clarity, and trust in a way that respects and honours each person's neurotype.
In our sessions, I provide a compassionate, non-judgmental environment where your experiences are heard and respected. You set the pace. I bring curiosity, professional insight, and a commitment to helping you meet your goals—whether that’s healing, clarity, confidence, or simply feeling more like yourself again.
If you're ready to begin, or even if you're just curious about what therapy might offer, I’d be glad to talk.
Practice description
I work with both individuals and couples across the UK and Ireland, offering a safe, supportive space to explore whatever is bringing you to therapy.
My background includes working within the emergency services, public health mental health, and the Armed Forces — experiences that have shaped a grounded, non-judgemental approach to counselling. I understand how life’s challenges can show up in complex and unexpected ways, and I’m here to help you navigate them.
I have a particular interest in family relationships, including the impact of narcissistic dynamics, as well as issues related to addiction and abuse. However, I welcome all clients, regardless of background or concern, and I believe in working collaboratively to create a space that feels right for you.
For those working through trauma, PTSD, or distressing events, I’m also trained in Rewind Therapy — a gentle yet effective approach that can help you move forward without needing to relive painful memories.
I understand that life doesn’t always allow for regular weekly appointments, especially for those working shifts or with unpredictable schedules. That’s why I offer flexible session bookings to better support your needs.
My first session
Whether you're coming to counselling on your own or as a couple, the first session is about getting to know each other and beginning to understand what brings you here. I know starting therapy can feel daunting, so if it helps, I can gently guide the conversation with some questions. That said, if you feel ready to talk — especially if you’ve been holding a lot in — there’s space for that too.
As we come to the end of the session, there’ll be time for you to check in with how you're feeling and decide whether you’d like to book a follow-up. There’s no pressure either way — what matters most is that you feel comfortable and supported.

About me and my therapy practice

I am flexible with sessions bookings as I understand a commitment to the same time each week can be difficult for those that work shifts.
My first session
I understand the first session can be daunting, so I can take the lead by explaining how I work as a counsellor and getting to know you, if you would like. Our first session also includes the completion of a contract which, although there are points I need to let you know about, I invite you to add anything you would like to agree together.
This session also gives you the opportunity to say what has brought you to counselling, what your expectations are and what you would like to achieve.
At the end of the session, there will be the opportunity to book another session. However, it is vital you feel comfortable working with and if you do not, it is okay to decline a second session.
