About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist and I offer varied approaches that will be tailored individually to you. I listen carefully to you and create a supportive, safe and comfortable place to work in. I have enjoyed over 30 years of experience working in the health field and in the last 5 years as a therapist.
I specialise in working with stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression and exploring who you are with yourself and others, such as family and relationship issues. I work short-term and long-term, I often work with people with complex issues such as trauma and grief.
You can trust I will treat you with respect, compassion and dignity. I pride myself on being professional and reliable. I work within the Íø±¬ÃÅ ethical guidelines to support your safety and confidentiality.
Depending on what you would prefer I offer, in person, phone and video link sessions. My in person sessions are at Natures Way in Preston, a welcoming health and beauty centre.

Practice description
I provide a supportive and safe structure, a beginning, middle and end for each session. Helping you identify what you feel would be useful for that session, taking it at your pace and being with you in what you want to talk about. Feeling comfortable is important to me so that you can focus on you, maybe on your thinking, emotions or ways of doing things. I'll stay with you, as you think, share, remember and find the words. Together exploring your experiences or issues, gaining awareness, and leading to positive changes.
If I know you want to explore your emotions, I'll help with that. If you want to know 'Why do I do that?' We'll look at processes. If you want to understand yourself, your relationships and experiences we'll give that the focus. You may want to feel like yourself again, boost your confidence, resilience and explore who you are. I have experience of working in these areas I'll keep your hopes and goals in mind as we work together.
I work in a person-centred, experiential and relational way. From experience I know I can provide a comfortable space, where you feel at ease quickly.

My first session
After our initial free 30 mins consultation we will have an idea of your hopes and areas of where you would like to work. In our first session we will build on this. To start I will talk through and explain our counselling agreement which explains confidentiality and data protection. After this the session is then yours to take it where you feel would be most useful. If you are unsure of where to start I will help and support you with this.
