I work online from home but can book face-to-face sessions locally to you. I can offer various times so please contact me for availability.

About me and my therapy practice

I am there for you when you are ready to explore or reflect on any issues that have been troubling you. I have a special interest in (and lived experience of) neurodiversity, particularly ADHD and autism, as well as LGBTQIA+ issues, chronic illness and loss. I’ve been a qualified counsellor for several years and I work with young people, adults and older adults using an integrative and creative approach. My background included working in education and with mental health issues. I’ve often enjoyed working with sixth formers and university students.

Practice description

You will bring what’s important to you and together we will work collaboratively in order to help you gain what you need from therapy. Sessions are your own private space to discuss matters that you might not wish to talk about with family or friends. I often find that creative ways of working can help bring clarity where we don’t have the right words for our thoughts and feelings - these creative methods include stones, buttons, art and picture or mood cards and are just suggested as options.

My first session

This would be a 'get to know you' session, where we would talk about a few things like confidentiality and how often we’d meet etc and come to an agreement on this. We can ask questions of each other and get a feel for what you want to work on and where you’re coming from. With your agreement we might complete a form together at the start and end of therapy so that you can see what has changed for you.

What I can help with

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, LGBTQ+ counselling, Loss, Menopause, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, OCD, Phobias, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sensory impairment, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Women's issues, Work related issues
