About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified person centred counsellor and a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ.

Supporting people from all walks of life is not only my profession—it’s my passion. I deeply value the trust my clients place in me, allowing me to walk alongside them as they explore their most personal and, at times, unspoken stories.

Growing up in a large family, I experienced first-hand the profound influence of women in my life. Their strength, wisdom, and compassion were a guiding force through my formative years, including my journey to embrace my identity as a gay man.

Being the youngest of 3 brothers and working in a male dominated industry has helped me gain some valuable insights and connections with men on an authentic level. I bring empathy and understanding into every session.

I can also support adults with adoption related issues and I have undertaken specialist training to support both adoptees and adopters. I am aware how sensitive, complex and above all how very unique this experience is for those who have been through the adoption process. If you feel the time is right then I can help you begin exploring your adoption story.

Person-centred counselling operates on the belief that each individual holds the key to their own growth and healing. My role is to help you build self-awareness and confidence, empowering you to take control of your relationships and life’s direction. This process, while transformative, can sometimes bring up painful emotions. You don’t have to face those moments alone —I’m here to support you with care and compassion.

Every individual has a story worth exploring, and my practice is a welcoming space for anyone ready to take that step. By getting to know yourself more deeply, you can navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, purpose, and confidence.

Practice description

I offer both short and long term therapy. Sessions are 50 mins in duration and will normally be at a fixed time each week but I can be flexible. How many sessions needed is unique to each person but I will undertake regular reviews with you to ensure our time together is meeting your needs.

My first session

I offer a free initial telephone consultation which should last approx. 30 minutes.

Before the consultation I will share a document outlining the service I offer along with some information about me.
