About me and my therapy practice
Life can be challenging at any age. Whether you are a child, teenager, or adult, seeking support can feel overwhelming — my aim is to make the process as comfortable, safe, and welcoming as possible.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ, following their standards and ethics. My therapy room is in a peaceful rural setting just two miles from the A120, providing a safe and confidential space to explore your feelings, gain clarity, and feel more settled.
Specialisms & Services
Children, Teenagers & Young People:
Young people face many challenges — from navigating friendships and school pressures to managing stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, or self-harm. I provide a safe and creative environment where children and teens can express themselves, make sense of their feelings, and develop new ways of managing difficult emotions and behaviours.
Parent Support & Parent–Child/Teen Therapy:
Parenting can be overwhelming. I work with parents and carers to navigate the complexities of family life, explore patterns, and develop strategies to support their children or teenagers. Together, we can strengthen communication and build confidence within the family.
Adult Therapy:
I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (Adults), allowing me to tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs. I work with adults to explore personal challenges, increase self-awareness, and develop practical strategies to cope with life’s stresses.
How I Work
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, adapting my approach to suit each client. Creative techniques help children and young people communicate their inner world, while integrative approaches support adults in exploring and reflecting on their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Free Consultation & Booking
I offer a free 10-minute telephone consultation, giving you the chance to discuss your needs and see if my approach is right for you.
Practice description
I am a therapist and partner at Castle Counselling Service, offering counselling and therapy in a peaceful rural setting just two miles from the A120, with discrete parking. The therapy room provides a safe, welcoming, and confidential space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and challenges in a calm environment. Sessions are available face-to-face or online, depending on what best meets your needs.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, and my approach is person-centred, placing the client at the heart of the relationship. I also draw on integrative methods, informed by CBT, trauma work, psychoeducation, and neuroscience, allowing me to tailor sessions to each client’s individual needs.
How I Work with Clients
Children, Teenagers & Young People
Young clients often benefit from creative ways of expressing themselves, including sand tray work, puppets, play, painting, drawing, or talking therapy. This approach helps children and teens communicate their feelings, understand their behaviours, and develop coping strategies for stress, anxiety, school pressures, depression, OCD, or self-harm.
Parent Support & Parent–Child/Teen Therapy
I work with parents and carers to help them navigate the complexities of family life, explore patterns, and find strategies to support their children or teenagers. Parent–child and parent–teen sessions can strengthen communication and connection, promoting a healthier family dynamic.
Adult Therapy
Adult clients can explore personal challenges, manage stress, and increase self-awareness in a safe, supportive environment. Sessions are tailored to each individual, combining person-centred principles with integrative techniques to best suit the client’s goals and preferences.
