About me and my therapy practice
My work is about creating a confidential, safe and a nurturing space for individuals and couples to explore their experiences and improve their lives and relationships.
I am a fully qualified, registered and accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and a member of 网爆门 (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches - Psychodynamic, Integrative, Person-Centred, EMDR. Although modalities and interventions are important, I will always put our relationship at the heart of the therapeutic work.
My aim as a psychotherapist is aiding you to become a fully functioning person who has more control over what they do and is not driven by unresolved unconscious past events. I will be asking you questions about your past experience and early years. I do that so I can understand your current behaviour in relation to your past and therefore can help you make the links.
I have personally experienced the feeling of displacement and loss, and I can 鈥榟ear鈥 it in my clients. As a therapist I understand the feeling of being misplaced and scared, I empathise with my clients when they describe the fear of uncertainty, and I am able to support them when the strength and hope is needed.
I feel privileged and grateful that people come to me and feel comfortable to share their feelings and struggles.

EMDR therapy
What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of therapy that helps people heal from difficult or upsetting experiences鈥攅specially those that feel 鈥渟tuck鈥 or keep coming back in thoughts, feelings, or body sensations.
When something traumatic happens, the brain sometimes doesn鈥檛 process it properly. EMDR helps the brain 鈥渦nstick鈥 the memory and file it away in a healthier way鈥攕imilar to how our brains naturally process things during deep sleep.
How does EMDR work?
You will choose a memory that still feels upsetting or distressing. I will then ask you to focus on the memory while doing something repetitive. This might be moving your eyes side to side or tapping your hands. These movements help your brain process the memory in a new way.
As you do this, the memory may begin to feel less intense. You might notice new thoughts, feelings, or insights coming up.
Over time, the memory is still there, but it doesn鈥檛 feel as painful or overwhelming. It becomes something that happened, not something that still controls how you feel.

About me and my therapy practice
The supervision I provide is a two-way interactive process where both parties can learn and grow together. I believe that effective supervision is collaborative in style and its most important task is to banish fear - in particular fear of being shamed, fear of getting it wrong and fear of being vulnerable. Whether you are in counselling training, an established practitioner or newly qualified, supervision is an integral part of your counselling journey.
