About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor, working with a variety of therapeutic approaches so each session is tailored to you as an individual. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
I understand that taking the step to begin therapy can feel daunting. My role is not to judge, but to listen and walk alongside you as we work together to understand your thoughts and feelings, and to help you make sense of what you’re going through.
I have experience supporting people with a wide range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, health concerns, loss, relationship challenges, bereavement, self-harm, feelings connected to neurodiversity, and times when emotions feel overwhelming.
My background includes several years working in a secondary school with students aged 11–19, as well as parents and staff members. I also have significant experience in bereavement work through my voluntary counselling role at a local hospice.
I am committed to ongoing professional development (CPD) and undertake regular training to ensure my work remains informed, ethical, and responsive to the needs of my clients.
Practice description
I currently offer counselling sessions online or by telephone, providing flexibility and accessibility to suit your needs.
I offer a free 20-minute initial phone consultation as an introduction, giving us the chance to explore what you are seeking from therapy and to see if we feel comfortable working together.
Therapy can be short-term, time-limited, or longer-term, depending on your goals and circumstances. As therapy is a collaborative process, we will agree on the number and frequency of sessions together in our first meeting.
I work with children (aged 11 and above) and adults. I also offer therapeutic support to trainee counsellors, and can provide clinical supervision for trainees or qualified practitioners.
