About me and my therapy practice
I offer a warm, collaborative, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic models to suit each individual’s needs. These include Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Humanistic, and Relational approaches.
I believe that no single method fits everyone, so I tailor my work to the unique needs and goals of each client. At the core of my practice is the therapeutic relationship — a safe, trusting, and supportive connection that allows meaningful work to take place.
Where appropriate, I also offer Solution Focused Brief Therapy, helping clients identify strengths, set goals, and develop practical strategies to move forward. This can be particularly helpful for those seeking short-term, goal-oriented support.
I work with both short-term and long-term clients and regularly review progress to ensure therapy remains helpful and relevant.
Practice description
I offer a confidential and supportive counselling service for adults, children, and counsellors in training. My practice provides a safe space to explore a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, and life transitions.
I work integratively, drawing from Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT, Humanistic, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy approaches. This allows me to tailor the work to each client’s unique needs, whether you're seeking short-term, goal-focused support or longer-term therapy.
As a Íø±¬ÃÅ Accredited Counsellor, I also work with EAPs and organisations, offering therapeutic support in a professional and collaborative manner. I am experienced in supporting clients from a variety of backgrounds and aim to create a warm, respectful space where individuals feel heard and understood.
The therapeutic relationship is central to my approach — I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel truly seen and supported. I offer both in-person and online sessions, depending on your preference and needs. My goal is to support you in developing greater clarity, resilience, and self-awareness as you navigate life’s challenges.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and explore what brings you to counselling. I will ask some questions to understand your current situation, background, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You are also welcome to ask any questions about how I work and what to expect.
This session allows us both to consider whether we feel comfortable working together. There is no obligation to commit beyond this first meeting.
I offer a reduced rate for the initial session, and this will be discussed when arranging your appointment. If you decide to continue, we will agree on a regular time and day for your sessions and discuss the frequency that best suits your needs.
I may ask you to complete a short assessment form either before or during the first session. This helps to clarify your goals and ensure therapy is tailored to support you effectively.
Sessions are held in a private, calm setting — either in-person or online, depending on your preference. My aim is to create a welcoming and safe space where you feel heard, respected, and supported from the very beginning.

Practice description
At Serenity Counselling Practice, I provide a safe, confidential space for children, young people, and adults to be heard and supported. Sessions are a calm, understanding place to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
I offer in-person and online sessions, including evenings and weekends, to fit around your schedule. My approach is client-centred and tailored to you, using person-centred, systemic, and solution-focused techniques to help you process emotions, gain insight, and find practical ways to improve wellbeing.
You can expect a warm, non-judgmental space where your experiences are respected. I work alongside you to understand challenges, explore options, and build resilience. Together, we develop strategies that feel meaningful and achievable.
I aim to make therapy flexible, supportive, and comfortable, so you can take steps forward at your own pace and feel confident in your journey toward positive change.
My first session
Your first session is a chance to meet, explore what has brought you to therapy, and start thinking about your goals. It’s a safe, confidential space where you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
I ask new clients to complete a brief assessment form before or during the session to help guide our work together. We’ll also cover practical details, like session frequency, confidentiality, and whether in-person or online sessions suit you best.
Sessions usually last 50–60 minutes and are offered at the standard rate. The focus is on understanding your needs, answering your questions, and taking the first steps toward improving your wellbeing.
I know starting therapy can feel daunting, and my aim is to make this first session welcoming, supportive, and comfortable, so you can feel confident about moving forward.
