About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes feel heavier than we expect. Anxiety, low mood, isolation and loneliness, depression, grief, trauma, or the pressures of family and relationships can leave us feeling stuck, isolated, or overwhelmed. I offers a safe and confidential space where those struggles can be shared openly, understood with care, and worked through at a pace that feels right for you.
I am an accredited member of the Íø±¬ÃÅ with a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Inter-Psyche, the NHS training centre for Kent & Medway. Alongside my private practice, I teach and train psychotherapists within the NHS, ensuring my work remains grounded in both professional development and the realities of clinical practice.
Over the years, I have worked with people in a range of settings. I have worked in NHS GP surgeries with clients facing diverse mental health challenges, and during the pandemic I led a bereavement psychotherapy project for a London charity, developing support for individuals and communities living through profound loss. Earlier in my career, I was a Senior Pastoral Director in boarding schools and sixth form colleges, where I worked closely with young people and families to support their emotional wellbeing. I also served on the board of the Breck Foundation, a charity that addresses online grooming and supports families after traumatic loss.
In addition to clinical practice, I have been published on themes such as trauma, grief, identity, relationships, and the ways wider world events shape our inner lives. Writing has deepened the way I practise, sharpening my ability to listen to both the spoken and unspoken, and to hold personal struggles within their wider context.
I believe therapy is not about a quick fix or clinical jargon. It is about creating a calm, supportive space where you can begin to hear yourself more clearly, feel less alone with what you are carrying, and gradually discover new ways of moving forward.
