About me and my therapy practice
If you have come this far to begin to seek out help for yourself or your relationship, you’ve done a brave thing. I know that it’s a really hard thing to do.
I specialise in Relationship Counselling; working with individuals and couples with the aim of helping you to repair and heal your relationships.
If you are struggling with your relationship and feel disconnected, I can provide a warm, supportive, non-judgemental and collaborative environment to help you explore your issues.
I am RELATE trained and certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an approach to Relationship Counselling that is based on the idea of ‘Attachment’, which is relevant to all of us as humans. (Visit iceeft.com for further information)
I recognise that how you behave on the outside is not always a reflection of how you feel on the inside: we use self-protective behaviours that often push our loved ones away, leaving us disconnected from those we love most. Do you feel distant, find yourself having the same conversation over and over with your partner, feel frustrated or hopeless? I want to help you by co-creating a safe space to begin to explore the hurts that have disconnected you in your relationship.

Practice description
I am certified in Emotionally focused Therapy and approved by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. This approach has been considerably researched over the past thirty years. It does not offer advice or strategies for communication, but seeks to help you both recognise that the negative patterns you are caught in are an understandable coping strategy to cope with loss of connection. I will help you understand your negative cycle and see it as the enemy, rather than each other.
My first session
I offer a 45-minute introductory session, (free of charge) to get to know each other a little and for me to begin to gain an understanding of how you get disconnected. There is no obligation to continue, I am happy for you to discuss and consider your next step. If you decide to continue with me, I will send a questionnaire and contract to complete.
