About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I am an Integrative Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience, specialising in work with children, young people, and adults.
Six Years of my training focused specifically on therapeutic work with children and adolescents, and I continue to provide tailored, developmentally informed support for clients of all ages. I also hold qualifications in Therapeutic Life Coaching and Behavioural Practice, enabling me to integrate coaching and behavioural approaches into therapy when appropriate.
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I am a UKCP-registered Clinical Supervisor and offer supervision to other counsellors and psychotherapists.
Charity
I am the CEO and Founder of the HABS Strength in Mind Charity, which provides emotional well-being and therapeutic support to over 50 schools across Hertfordshire. The charity’s ethos is built on accessibility and inclusion, ensuring that families, children, and adults who may be less financially able to access counselling can still receive the support they need, when they need it. We are also committed to supporting vulnerable individuals within our local communities.
My work is trauma-informed, somatic, and integrative, drawing on a range of modalities including psychodynamic, existential, and behavioural approaches. This flexibility allows me to adapt the process to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances.
Alongside my clinical work, I deliver workshops, parenting programmes and wellbeing programmes within my community, a valued aspect of my practice that reflects my belief in giving back and supporting collective resilience.
I am a member of BUPA and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I receive regular clinical supervision and adhere to UKCP’s professional and ethical standards.
Fees: £65 per hour for individual sessions, counselling and Supervision.

Practice description
My Therapeutic Approach
We come together in this therapeutic space with curiosity, compassion, and the understanding that everything is interconnected. My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed and integrative approach, recognising that each person’s experience is unique and that healing unfolds differently for everyone, at the pace that is suited to you as the client
Working Integratively
As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities psychodynamic, existential, philosophical, behavioural, and other evidence-based approaches. This allows us to create a flexible, collaborative process that is tailored to your needs, whether you are a child, adolescent, or adult. Together, we explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape your inner and outer world, finding the most effective way to support your wellbeing.
The language of the body is central to my work, internal, external, and in relationship. Our bodies hold trauma, stories and wisdom that words sometimes cannot reach. By including somatic awareness, movement, and mindfulness, we can deepen understanding and connection to self, allowing healing to occur on multiple levels: physical, emotional, and psychological. This is so important when working with children and young people
I believe that our surroundings are part of the therapeutic process. I work with and in my environment, which can mean taking therapy outdoors if that is best for my client
Who I Work With
I offer therapy for individuals, children, young people, and families, providing a compassionate and confidential space to explore challenges such as trauma, anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, and personal growth.
I see clients in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas and have counselling rooms in Hoddesdon and Wormley, in Herts
My first session
If you are a parent or carer seeking support for a child or young person, we ask that you attend an initial meeting to complete a questionnaire. This helps us build a full background picture of your child’s experiences, from birth to the present day, so that I can understand their needs in context.
Following this, I offer your child or young person a 20-minute introductory session, free of charge, to ensure they feel comfortable and able to engage with me before therapy begins.

About me and my therapy practice
I work with adults, children, and young people who present with high levels of trauma, providing compassionate, trauma-informed support that promotes healing, resilience, and growth. My work draws on extensive experience and a broad range of therapeutic skills, enabling me to adapt to the complex needs of each individual.
As CEO of a charity dedicated to emotional wellbeing and mental health, I lead a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical supervision to both trainees and qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, teachers, and social workers. I bring a wealth of knowledge, professional insight, and empathy to my supervisory practice, fostering reflective growth and high professional standards.
This aspect of my role is deeply rewarding, offering the opportunity to supervise, guide, support, and empower others in their professional development while ensuring that the highest quality of care is delivered to those we serve.
Practice description
As a Íø±¬ÃÅ and UKCP registered Clinical Supervisor and Psychotherapist, I offer a safe, reflective, and supportive space for practitioners and trainees working across a range of therapeutic and professional settings.
My supervision practice is grounded in trauma-informed, relational, and integrative approaches, shaped by many years of experience working with adults, children, and young people who have experienced high levels of trauma.
I see supervision as a collaborative and dynamic process, a place to explore the clinical, professional, and emotional aspects of practice with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. My aim is to help supervisees deepen their clinical insight, strengthen professional confidence, and maintain ethical and reflective standards of care with the option of working creatively within the supervision process.
Alongside my private practice, I am CEO of a charity that supports trauma recovery and emotional wellbeing. In this role, I supervise counsellors, psychotherapists, teachers, and social workers, combining leadership with a commitment to nurturing professional growth and resilience within teams.
Supervisees can expect a warm, containing, and non-judgemental environment that encourages both personal and professional development. I bring a wealth of experience, a deep understanding of trauma, and a strong ethical foundation to every supervisory relationship, ensuring that practitioners feel supported, challenged, and valued in their ongoing work.
My first session
Our first session offers an opportunity for us both to explore whether we feel comfortable working together. The therapeutic or supervisory relationship is central to effective work, so this initial meeting focuses on getting a sense of how it feels to be in the space together and whether the approach I offer feels right for you.
During this session, we will talk about what brings you to therapy or supervision, what you hope to gain, and what you might need to feel safe and supported in the process. It’s also a chance for you to ask any questions about how I work, my approach, and what to expect from ongoing sessions.
I view this first meeting as a mutual process; not an assessment or interview, but an open conversation to ensure that the relationship feels like a good fit on both sides. We’ll discuss practical details such as confidentiality, session structure, frequency, and fees, so that you have a clear understanding before deciding whether to continue.
If we both feel that working together would be beneficial, we’ll agree on a plan for ongoing sessions that supports your goals and needs. If not, I can offer guidance or signposting to alternative support that may be more suitable.
